""Every year I see pets in hot cars, especially with nearly closed up windows. These barbaric acts are cruel to the animals. What I do is boycott the stores the cars are in front of if the situations are not fixed.

James... The Stores aren't the ones doing it, it's their customers. Try asking to post a sign in the window reminding it's customers how hot it is, and not try hurting the businesses themselves. Better yet, call the cops or animal control.

Good suggestion, Good Dog, but I'd be willing to bet a dollar three ninety eight that James was doing a bit of exaggerating. Considering the price of gasoline, I can't imagine anyone would drive around in parking lots, looking for dogs in hot cars, figuring out which store the owner of the car is shopping in, then boycotting that suspected store to teach the store owners a lesson even though the store owners probably live in Chicago and would never know what a wonderful citizen Rosencranz is. The heat affects people in strange ways, to be sure!

It's illegal to leave dogs and kids in cars unattended. Call the police and get them cited. They both could die from such stupid behavior, and the animal/baby can't call for themselves.
