"Yes yes yes! Fill up our jails with potheads! Smart! More money for prisons! Cut education!"

What are you trying to say Joe?
That $25,000 worth of pot was all medicinal?

We don't need people like that in our community.

BTW, this guy is a graduate of our educational system. I guess he should have marked each bag of pot with "If you are smoking this pot,
THANK A TEACHER"

As a former student of the Paradise education system it is not shocking. Pot is prevalant up on the Ridge and many of my teachers in high school were pot smokers themselves. Just to name two out of many for example, Mr. Bailey and Jim Smith.

The whole Prop. 215 joke and pot has gotten way out of hand. People have Prop. 215 cards for medical issues such as asthma and obesity, what a joke!!! This is not what Californians voted for and we need to repeal Prop. 215 as it stands now and require pot like all prescription medications be acquired through a pharmacy.

And I don't care about the cost because I know some bleeding heart is going to bring that up next. If it's prescription medication then it needs to be controlled as such or it is just legalized dope.

But come on Joel, they had guns. Surely that is enough for them to be in jail right? You're such a fairy....every day you post I'm reminded.

I agree that Prop 215 is not very good and needs to be revised based on the grey areas the sleezebags took advantage of. However, I do not agree that it should be soley sold through the pharmacy so THEY can become even more wealthy than they already are. I say let the cops sell it or the Sheriff, that is a great way to control the marajuana there is correct documentation. The funds help our police and Sheriff budget that helps the state economy. A simple and effective idea.

Doesn't sound like it is their pot anyway. Seems like the likely owner of the weed and guns is the dude that owns the house. Hmmm the same dude that was busted right before Christmas in Laguna Beach. They had no cash and are living in a shack with a kid. Seems pretty sad to me. BINTIF is a joke.

It's time to legalize marijuana for adults.

Interesting there is so much resistance to doing the right thing with a natural plant that every major government study has shown is non-addictive and FAR less harmful than alcohol. Polls have shown most Californians want an end to the counter-productive fraud of marijuana prohibition. So, why do we still have it?

Because police, prosecutors, and politicians build their careers and empires on it. Because the alcohol and pharmaceutical industries fear safer marijuana as competition. Because the drug treatment/testing and prison industries depend on it for their life's blood. Because of religious nuts that believe they can impose their rules on everyone else. Because many corporations could not exist without the cartel money they are laundering, and because marijuana prohibition is used as a tool to control minorities, dissenters and the poor, and to destabilize countries that don't bow to U.S./corporate "interests."

It's time to cut-off these parasites!

Which is worse for society: a pot head or an alcoholic? Alcohol clearly wreaks more havoc. Maybe we should legalize marijuana and outlaw alcohol. I know prohibition didn't work but neither does the pot war. Apparently its not about winning or reality anyway.

You are like so many of the dope smokers and you don't understand the full history of weed. Marijuana being legalized will not solve the problems. Marijuana use to be completely legal in the US and grown as a crop. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson use to grow crops of marijuana. Marijuana was raised and the hemp used in many ways it is today. The marijuana THC was extracted and used in many elixirs that was sold to the general public, basically "snake oil".

Prohibition began in 1906 against marijuana due to the problems it was causing. People were becoming addicted to the elixirs and people were robbing and murdering over marijuana grows. Why, because even when it's legal, it's easier to steal from the other guy than it is to put in the hard work for yourself and grow it. Legalization of marijuana is a joke, it will not solve any problems.

Marijuana should be allowed for medical purposes, but it should be regulated and prescriptions should be obtained from legitimate doctors. Not the dope smoking quacks located in Nevada City, San Francisco and beyond by paying a small fee of $150-175.

In talking to a police officer in Sac the other day, he said Marijuana will be legal in 6 months... Does the police know something the public doesnt know? Their was a brain specialist on tv recently who said 1 joint is worst than 5 cigarettes... on the lungs, liver and the brain. Its like 10 times stronger than what was around in the 70s.

What about the REAL drugs that are harmful to society? METH is the problem around here. Law enforcement is just afraid to get in a shootout with tweakers. Give me a break. This child was in NO danger from the pot. Maybe the loaded gun is a no-no, but what a waste of money. And Ramsey will try his best to prosecute to the fullest, while his own daughter is trying to kill him. This county is turning into the joke of the state.

MAYBE a "no-no"? Are you serious? If the life of ONE child was saved, it is well worth the cost.

As far as pot, I used to not care either way. To each their own.

But, watching my 24 yr son, who has a emotional issues, sneak pot and watching his dark symptoms flair up and ends up a mess or in the hospital. So, seeing what this can do, I wish it was not here in the first place. Just another thing to consider.

For those who are healthy and toke, go ahead. It is just not for me or any love one.

Talking to other parent's, I'm not only one to see the dark side take effect on people who should not be near it.

I'm sure they do! If you look up how many deaths are related to prescription drugs verses pot you'd be shocked. There are ZERO cases of pot in a span of MANY YEARS being the sole cause of death. There's a billion things out there that aren't necessairly "good" for us (cheeseburgers, sun, alcohol, tylenol,.. you name it) but anything used with moderation and common sense are fine. You might consider doing a little more research on what other health care professionals have to say about how safe pot is/isn't and go from there?
