The highest crimes and biggest criminals

No insult intended here, Dode, just a clinical observation. I'm not planning on winning over people like the Brads or Brian or this James Welch nitwit. I'm just hoping that by calling spades spades we can help foster an environment where the opinions of utter numbskulls are no longer considered to be the equivalent of people who have functioning brain cells. Clearly, Mr. Welch doesn't.
Back when I was a kid, all opinions weren't automatically afforded equal weight, but I regret to say that my generation of teachers fostered the attitude that even idiocy should be afforded respect regardless of the merit or the underpinning of those opinions. Such attitudes gave us Fox "News," Limbaugh, and George W. Bush because we managed to produce people so rigorously ignorant of nearly everything that they were willing to buy almost any fool notion. So, when I say that James Welch Sr. seems retarded, that's not an insult, just an observation based on how retarded his thinking shows him to be.
And, in saying so, I'm inadvertently insulting a few of my own kinfolk, who oughta know better, but don't.
If, however, we label stupidity by its proper name, we might just make it a little less likely to hold its head so high.

O'Neill still won't answer my question after 3 TRIES. I guess it's out of fear that he may incriminate his own, the Clintonistas. You are such a hypocrite Jamie O'Neill. Also, it's downright discusting that you would call someone "RETARDED" that doesn't agree with your "opinions", even with your half-hinded apology. What strategic reason did the hero of the left and possibly the next "1st Lady", Bill Clinton, go to Serbia and Kuwait? Innocent people died from the bombings in those countries, yet the left-wing was/is nearly silent about those attrocities. Why does the left always seem to go by the mantra, "Do as I say, not as I do"?
Instead of just spinning the question, give me a truthful answer. If you can't answer like the cajones-less Jamie O'Neill, then maybe some other left-winger will.

If you loved your country, Publius2, wouldn't it sadden you to think and write that you were being led by a war criminal who was supported and abetted by far too many of your countrymen? That is, if you loved your country, and cared about what was done in its name.

Okay, aSole, listen carefully so you won't have to ask this question the fourth time. Bill went to Serbia and Kuwait to pick walnuts to replenish Jaime's depleted supply. I remember the night, about 3 PM, when Bill called me to ask what he should do about the walnut supply in Serbia and Kuwait and if he should personally go over there and pick them up. I said it would be more reasonable to send an emissary to Serbia and Kuwait, someone who is a walnut expert, and I particularly recommended a fellow from Chico who knows everything there is to know about walnuts. Sadly, Bill, as usual, did not take my advice.

Sir, I really like this most reasoned response to the emotional outburst that Brian suffered recently. While your argument is so comprehensivly nailed down compelling, that it is the embodiment of the truth of the situation, I think that it will all go right over his head, and he will conciously avoid actually considering any of the sage things you said to him.
Its funny, strange, sad, and alarming how people form opinions, cling to them, and own them to the point that they vociferously defend, proven wrong illogical fallacy, ignoring overwhelming, repeated, contrary, multiple source credible, force of truth information, to their own personal determent.

You know that I bear you no ill will, and I respect your right to your opinions. We see things from a much different perspective politically, and we do use these comments as a foundation for political debate, so please don't get overly offended if I take issue with you from time to time.
