This happened in Bell Co. My 3 year old daughter was taken from her mother due to neglect. I was away at the time, and did nothing wrong. I did have my own apt. but lost it due to health issues, and ended up homeless. I do have a place to live, and am finally starting to get contact with her, but what I had to go through was unfair. The judge who over seen this case even made it where I couldn't even WRITE her during this ordeal. here is some excerpts from different documents that was sent to me...first is a fax that was sent to me by social services.
"In regards to the court review that was held today, I provided the court with the documentation that you had faxed to me this morning. I also advised the court that you are continually to work with Vocational Rehab in efforts to locate employment and is continuing to reside at the HOPE center at this time. I also stated to the judge that you had requested to write letters to Madison weekly, in which he denied your request at this time." this was July 16 2009. here is also a copy of a court document that I was able to get a hold of. "Father homeless, no visitations until father complies with case plane" this was on April 30 2009
Yes I was homeless, but got laid off, and had several health issues, and I did have to file for disability, but showed even though I was ill, I still looked for work, I provided that same information to the caseworker, in also which I had asked to at least write her, which the judge denied. I only bring this to your attention because I am quite angry because of the judges rulings it had kept me from seeing my daughter.
I do have the proper documents in my possession and can provide proof if needed, just post a fax # and time and date and I can do so. Thank you for your time signed
