Congratulations on 50 years of educating many. Students came and still do come from all walks of life and have traveled to many directions doing great things. I am a graduate from the early 70s who went on to a four year college after B.C.C.

Thank you for being there. Carry on for 50 more and beyond.

"t's neither easy being the first nor the oldest, but in Massachusetts, Berkshire Community College is both."

What the hell kind of a sentence is that? It's neither easy, nor the oldest? Where are the copy editors?

I left out the words that weren't central to the sentence in order to point out the error in the clause. The writer is comparing "easy" to "oldest," which makes absolutely no sense, and is pretty shameful in an article about higher education.
