Willows teen victim in Chester double homicide

I heard this story over the weekend from a friend who has family that lives in Chester. I was told that both sons had actually passed away and the Mother of the 2 boys had lost her husband 4 years back as well. I REALLY hope with all my heart that the entire town is supporting this woman. She has a lot of pain to endure and she is a strong woman for getting up every morning and continuing to trudge through life and she needs to be told that daily. When is something going to posted as far as people helping her? I have a lot of people here in Reno that would love to help if possible. May God bless her and confort her in her time of loss.
As for the teen who caused it...I can only hope that he lives the rest of his life ALIVE in prison...nothing more needs to be said.

ps-I do mourn for the murderers parents I couldn't imagine living with the guilt of producing evil offspring. I'm sure that's difficult as well.

Steven was a wonderful person and from a wonderful family, and from what I have gathered, so were the Carrigan children.Steven was an extension of our family as he was my nephew's best friend from babyhood.I'm not concerned with the race or legal status of the perp.I'm leftto wonder why?Why are so many of our teens,and yes even preteens,behaving this way?I've worked in the school system for 21 yrs. and I have noticed a very disturbing trend. Possesiveness/obsession/contro l over one of the persons in the relationship (pre-teen and teen),telling the other what they can and can not wear, who they can or can not hang around with, where they can or can not go. Even after that relationship is over, the "controller" will not leave the other person alone, calling,sending threating texts, driving by, trying to cause problems in any new relationship that person may enter, even trying to drive a wedge between the person of obsession and their parents. I don't know what the answer is, I just know that something is very wrong and it will only get worse until we recognize that there is a problem and do something about it. I too am very angry that this person decided to take the lives of 2 wonderful people with so much ahead of them. Whatever happened to "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you"?

To respond to Eman. I agree with you, but several news stories have reported that the perp only moved to Chester 7 years ago. I can't remember where he came from, but it was from a large city. And again, I'm not from Chicago, I'm from Willows, CA

It was reported on Channel 12 news that this person had also threathened to murder another teenager that Jenny had dated. Let's start doing an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. If people committing these crimes knew that the same thing that they did to their victims would happen to them I think you would see a lot less crime. This downsizing the prison population and leaving more money for the honest tax payers. Bless Jodie and the Furtado families.

i know its hard to understand but rayes was a good kid that his felling took him to a very bad place i knew rayes and jenni they were both very good friends of my sons and they had been to my house he really showed no sign of this happening he was a very nice and loving kid the only people that have the right to judge him is the parents of these poor kids and god so unless your one of them you should really take a hard look in you life the poor family of steven jenny and the family of rayes is paying for this IT IS NOT RIGHT THAT HIS FAMILY IS BEING PUT THOUGH HELL THEY DID NOTHING WRONG so clean your own house befor you tell other how to clean theirs i pay every night for jenny billy steven and rayes's parents every one loss in this it was a veryy bad thing that happend

I was in Chester this week-end, and upon entering the cemetary the first thing I saw were ballons on Jenny and Billys grave site, so don't ask me to feel sorry for the jerk who committed this terrible act. He is as responsible for Billys death as he is Jenny and Stevens. He needs to be put to death the same way that he killed those kids and let him know what is going to happen. When he gets to prison he can be a bubba or maybe someone will do the same to him. Let the arse rot in hell, too bad he wasn't down here in jail with the gang bangers, because he probably wouldn't be alive now and save the taxpayers a lot of money. Too bad he hasn't committed sucide. NO MERCY FOR HIM!!!!!

Citizenship status is relevant and exactly what "evidence" is necessary to meet your criteria for "relevance"? And from whom? Perhaps the comments were particularly nasty? Or is it that citizenship status issues touch a nerve with you?

Of course, anyone who posts here does so at the pleasure of the ER staff. You can make and enforce any rules you please, I have no problem with that, but the notion that citizenship is not relevant is nonsense. This state has a huge problem with illegal immigrant criminals and gangsters whether you think that is relevant or not.
