The Clinton and Bush eras of cheap energy are in the past. Get used to $4.00/gal+ gasoline and electric bills of $400/mth no matter who the damn president is. Find a way to save money on energy and everything else you can. It doesn't matter who you sell out as long as you make it. This is a world economy. We still have it far cheaper than most. Corporations own this country, people don't. Whatever is best for profit is what will be. If you can't adjust to that, then move to another country. Try to find a happy median, if you can't, then screw the person next to you, that's what it's all about. I started doing that a few years ago and it really does work. Honest, it does!

Don't be so narrow minded. Think outside the box. By investing in corporations who screw their employees, local communities, pollute the environment such as our drinking water, banks who caused the financial collapse while taxpayers bailed them out as their CEOs and management got away Scott free with millions in bonuses for their work. By investing in these dirty corporations and practices, you are giving them more money to continue their progress which is screwing whoever they can to return a profit for the company and the shareholders. Of those corporations, we are paying out the ass for fuel for transportation and heating bills (however, they do at least compensate their employees fairly decent). Walmarts employees are underpaid, exploited, and have little or no benefits. They put out what was once an economy of thriving small businesses in which their owners felt only right to help strengthen their communites. Look at all the banks on the list.... didn't we just bail them out with our tax dollars less than 4 years ago? I'm glad my box is flimsy cardboard and not made of the same steel yours is made of.

The only reason Wal-Mart is successful is because of their customers. Wal-Mart also has descent jobs and benefits. Talk to their truck drivers, their management, their office workers. They also have the best opportunity to move up in the company for those aggressive enough to take advantage of it.

Wal-Mart does not put small businesses out of business--people do. When Wal-Mart opens up a store, they draw customers from smaller shops, but do not have the power to force them out of town.

Just for the fun of it, I went to Ohio News Network (ONN) which is kind of liberal biased because it's an affiliate of CNN. On this site, they have a poll on whether or not welfare recipients should be drug tested, so I took the poll and it gave me the current results. 82% of participants agreed that yes, welfare recipients should be drug tested before getting benefits.

Here's the eduacation of a voter. If you read what I wrote I do work! I work 3 part time jobs and I work 50-60 hours a week. I would love to get one full-time job but I can't. There's no job openings in my field that has full-time opportunities. I have no health insurance at all. I haven't had any for 4 years now. so for you to say to occupy a job I gurantee I work more hours then you in a week. Again this is the eduacation of people who vote
