Scott...this is not a two and two situation. Most of the people on this blog are on here spreading rumors, CJM came on here and defended his family along with clearing up rumors, but you idiots keep saying that he is covering it up, or the sheriff who attends there is covering it up. From what CJM wrote it seems like everything has been followed. It has taken a while but that is just the way it is, I can only assume it is pure hell for the families involved, but victims and offenders.

I don't agree with her being there either but it is not my decision. The church is reaching out to this family in this, odd, way! I feel like it would have been worse for the church to say, "Get Out you committed a sin" since the rest of the people at the church are sinners as well.

Point of clarification Cowboy....

Most advocate SEPARATION of Marcy from the congregation. I don't think anyone has suggested she be cast out with mallice or without concern for her spiritual soul or redemption. I've suggested private ministries for Marcy at TCC, or TCC helping her establish herself at another church where people don't have open wounds associated with her sinful acts.

Yes, everyone at TCC is a sinner. But I doubt that everyone at TCC is a proven child predator who may be spending their time at church services scoping out everyones teenage kids, while filling her mind with lustful molestation fantasies. Keep in mind we are talking about teenage kids who know and perhaps love the molester, will likely acknowledge and exchange comments with the molester if nearby, and who may still look at the molester as an authority figure and mentor. Kids who (like you) may even want to blame the victim and will support and defend the molester.

Unfortunately someone at TCC apparently told everyone that forgiveness must also mean reacceptance....and therefore, if we are good christians, we must allow Marcy to attend our church services. God (with adam and eve) and Christ (with the merchants at the Temple) taught us that reacceptance is earned...and that the burden of sin sometimes does result in separation from the communities we've wronged.

But I guess TCC leaders were too concerned about showing loyalty and support to Mr. Mote and Medskers to even consider asking Marcy not attend services. And that's a shame. Because this blog would have never happened if Marcy had just stayed home like she should have.

To Kansas Cowboy....and all of the others who keep saying "all are sinners" (in relation to what Marcy did). So, are you saying you are in the same class of people as a pedophile? I'm sure as hell not! This "all are sinners" is B.S. I wonder if those who are equating sexual crimes against children as any other "sin" would be so quick to quote (actually quote out of context) an idea if it were THEIR child! I can see it now. "Yes, honey...I know the teacher molested you...but they are no different than you mom and me for watching soft porn on Showtime....after all, we are all sinners honey". Pleeeeezzzz!

Look only one thing is for sure right is right and wrong is wrong. God said obey the laws of the land and i am the only true judgement. He meant for us to obey the laws that we set but ultimately he will decide. The teacher done wrong yes but we can only pray for help with this situtation and let the justice system we set up work for now.

Since everyone is talking about hypocrits at TCC, well lets talk about the fact that the Sheriff of Montgomery County who attends there, on a daily basis cusses people out using every foul word and name calling there is, uses ALL racial slang towards black people, mexicans, etc. and also gender slang towards women, lies, cheats, and steals and then shows up on Sunday morning and pretends to be a "leader" for TCC. He is also in favor of using his "position" to try for a lesser sentence for Marcy and then turns around and talks to people that have commited the same crime like a piece of trash. Yeah, that is REAL "leadership" behavior. AND, why did the whole congregation get a letter from Dave B. after this came out that they were not to talk about it to the public or amoungst each other? Trying to keep is hush-hush??

Read earlier blog from me and you'll see why that is a VERY scary thing for the Sheriff to be so involved. It is all about VOTES when it comes to his religion, because she sure doesn't act like one away from that church!

Yeah, the initial news reports in the LOCAL papers made it sound like Marcy, recognizing the errors of her ways and on her own volition, quit her job at the school and her work with the church youth volunteer program, confessed to her husband and bee-lined it to the pastor for emotional support as she sought to turn herself in to the Sherrif. Actually, the complaint against Marcy was filed by Montgomery County Attorney Larry Markle 2 days before the Pastor found out.(Hmmmm....guess he must not be a member of TCC...) So it's clear Marcy's actions were already reported and she knew that the proverbial shit was already in the process of hitting the proverbial fan. It seems it was then that she suddenly got her impetus to "do the right thing". Funny how everyone is suddenly so sorry and remorseful AFTER their nuts get caught in the wringer.
Anyways, that would be an interesting tidbit of info....how the crime was discovered and who made the initial report?
It is amazing how difficult it is to find info on what I would think should be a story of national interest. The level of perceived nepotism by the church hierarchy is just astonishing. And yet, national news syndicates seems to be relatively unaware.(I think there was a network blub on her initial arrest, and that was about it.) And, most astoundingly, local news outlets seems to take almost zero notice. Following her arrest there have been only scanty news releases regarding her re-arrest, plea and conviction, sentancing continuances, etc. In total, just a few paragraphs of text to report everything that has happened after her arrest. You'd think there would be some commentary, opinions or editorials.... something, somewhere. Something other than discussion on internet blogs.
I dunno....It all just seems to have been very Very VERY well controlled from the git go. Just goes to show, if you are a child molester, it's good to have friends in high places.
This is VERY interesting, but you have to understand that ALOT has gone un-noticed in the public eye, especially stuff with the Sheriff. And if you knew how he operated, you would understand that for some reason people are afraid of him. He runs his office by intimidation and I know for a fact he has intimidated one of the Independece Reporter employees to the point he will not write anything negative about him anymore. Guess what for......the reporter had relations with a girl under the age of 18!! Surprise Surprise!!

PLX said, ".....but we can only pray for help with this situtation and let the justice system we set up work for now."

Sorry, PLX, but the "lets just commit this to prayer and let God handle it" mindset just doesn't cut it. In fact, it's a total cop out that, quite frankly, is based on subservience and defeatism.

God doesn't expect that when we are faced with a problem or injustice that we just pray about it and wait for some sign that our prayers were answered. God expects us to take action. Especially when people are citing his name and the words of his holy book to justify what is clearly an inappropriate decision that was obviously based on nepotism and misplaced loyalty, and that clearly adversely affected an entire christian community.

Voicing outrage and not letting decision makers off the hook for BAD decisions....that is what I believe God expects us to do. And THAT is what brings about change in the way future decisions are made. Who are we to say that this blog isn't one of God's methods to try to enlighten TCC leadership about their errors.

I'd sure like to see a copy of the letter Concerned spoke of asking everyone not to talk about this event. I'm sure, if true, it was portrayed as being in the best interest for the victim. Just remember, TCCs nuts are in a ringer when it comes to potential judgement awards in future civil action. There is no doubt in my mind at all that they would want to control any information related to the event....uh, for the sake of the victim, of course.

Interesting comments about the sheriff. I have no idea whether or not any of this is true.(Concerned does kinda sound like he has a chip on his shoulder.....Don't we all I guess.) But what Concerned said is consistent with the way rural politics are often played...especially in that part of the country. It wouldn't surprise me if there were elements of truth to it....especially given the circumstancial evidence of how little has reached the public regarding the Marcy affair. Anyways leave the sheriffs behavior and/or hypocracy to locals to address.

Either that...or go with PLX's approach and just do nothing...except pray. Yeah, that will take care of everything....right?

By the way, I am from Montgomery County. Don't know why it says Dallas, Tx. Anyway, since I am local you could probably say I do have a chip on my shoulder with the whole situation. I am a mother of daughters and would definately want justice served. I do not believe in throwing authority around to cover up such a horendous act.

As far as opening up to psyc evals before sentencing this is routine. I wonder why it has taken so long though. I am familiar with the system here in Montgomery County. I have been involved in a similar situation a few year back as a witness in the same type of situation. The youth minister was told when he was sentence it was a mandatory prison sentence.
While I under stand that it is not unusuall for the Sheriff, Deputy, and Assistant Prosecutor (incidently the Asst. Prosecutor only deals with Juvenile matters she would have nothing to do with this case, however I have seen her in action I do not think it would be an issue if she was the prosecutor, she is a very excellent prsecutor) I still believe the Sheriff himself, who claims to be the only Law Enforcement authority here, should have turned this investigation over to another agency weather it be state or a local Police Department for the investigation.
You have to get along with other agencies before you can ask for assistance!! And secondly, the before blogs are right on in my opinion, I think it is protecting TCC's reputation.
Secondly, I have to say, Marcy's family are good people and I hate to see them hurting and getting some of this thrown at them. She was 39 yrs old when all this happened, they have no control over her.

I am sorry I just found this blog information. Very intersting information to consider about our "finest" Sheriff Department. It all does make sense now. That is not the first I have heard about him. All the judicial people involved in this is probably a little nervous since this is election year. Maybe it is time for another change!

In a just about two months it is going to be a year since this has happened. I am beginning to wonder if anything is EVER going to happen. Surely the whole thing can't fly under the judicial system.

Pretty sad isn't it. I can't imagine being the parents of the victim. It probably won't fly under the judicial system, but the longer it goes, the better chance she has of getting probation (slapped on the hand).

Yep...I tend to agree with Concerned on that count. The longer it goes on, the greater the probability that it will result in a hand slap. Yep, pretty sad the way some people (those with money and connections) can use the system to their advantage, and how the system works to the dissadvantage of all the rest.

Must be nice to be a child predator and have so many working on your side to keep the road under your feet as smooth as possible for you. Wonder how smooth the road is under the victims feet?

Two months since she got caught (oh, I am sorry - felt great remorse and repentance and turned herself in - yeah right); we don't know when it actually started or how many others she may have molested.

I love how m so many of you keep slandering...the list keeps growing and the gossip just keeps coming doesn't it???
Let's recap the list that soo many of you have taken innocent people and have drug their names through the dirt:
Kevin (Marcy's husband), Georgia and Gerald Medsker, Craig Medsker, Lori (Marcy's sister), myself, Kevin's Dad, every elder at TCC, the sheriff, the DA, Kathy Bycroft, Dave Bycroft. I don't think I've left anyone out. Now we have Steve from Oklahoma City making FALSE Accusations and I bet he would call himself a fine-standing Christian...I am so sick of it all. I am so angry at the audacity of so many of you. Some of you need to find some other avenue of entertainement then to come on this blog and spread malicous gossip and down-right lies. Get a life!

Part of your comments I will agree with. I have said before and I will say again. Dragging the family through the mud is not right. But I don't know how you can say that the church has done right by this at all. After reading CJM's comments amoungst others, why are the Medskers being shamed to leave the church. First the church goes acts like they are sticking beside them and all of the sudden turns their backs on them and lets Gerald and Georgia walk away!! I felt very sad when CJM said they were having a hard time walking away from a church after 34 years. THAT'S CHRISTIANS, to let people walk away like that????
