Guess you would rather hit them with your car. Tear up your ride and see dead deer all over the side of the road.

I do not think it is safe to have people shooting in the city.

Maybe we could live trap a few turn em loose in Dallas, and have em shoot up their city trying to kill Bambi.
Leave our deer alone.
Gosh I love Northeast Arkansas.
I have been to a lot of places, and I think that this is one of God's Prettiest Footprints.
Let's strive to keep it Natural.

FYI the "deer hunt" was approved by the Cherokee Village city council, bow hunters only. They all must apply and show their ability to shoot accurately(no kidding). I know alot of people that feed the deer and welcome them in their backyards as do I. I don't know where the "hunt" is going to take place but if I see one of these yahoo's sneaking around my place with a bow he better be wearing a flack vest under his stupid bright orange vest and be wearing NIKE sneakers. Deer are not a problem in the Village. SID is a problem in the village, when have they done anything productive that doesn't involve a golf course?

You got that right.
The deer have never been a problem for me. Sure theyget hit by a car now and then, they get hit on the highway too. Maybe some people need to slow down a bit.

It appears that the SID is the problem. I was always told that when a community became a city, the SID was abolished, so why do they still have one. The residents of CV need to check into this matter, and see if things are being done the way they are suppose to be.

FYI, Jack "The Fuze" is planning a pyro show(fireworks display) on Lake Thunderbird Sunday night Aug. 31st. It will be done to music and last approx. 1 hour. The sight is on the point across from the dam 9:00 PM.I praying for good weather and no burn ban in the Village. Trust me, it will be awesome.Make sure you are where you can hear the music. By boat , park in the main part of the lake out from the marina, by car try the point off of Saginaw or park at the marina and walk to the end of the dam by the spillway, the music doesn't quite reach the marina I'm told.

Will you run into any problems shooting fireworks off in August? I ask because I think you can only light the fuze one week after the
July 4. I hope it all works out and it's a go. we will be on the end of the dam, Sounds like fun.
Maybe you should put some ads round town so everyone knows.
What is that critter you are holding in your picture?? doesn't look like a dog..

Glad you asked about the little critter. It's a black bear cub. A friend of mine raises them(legally, he's American Indian). He runs End of the Trail Refuge on Rock Creek Road outside of Highland. You can e-mail him dblackhawk@centurytel.net and go see his bears. His name is Dennis Blackhawk and does presentations all over the area teaching about animals. I plan on advertising my "event" in a few days after I talk to the local authorities to get the "go ahead".

So the question remains:
Is Sid legal?
How do we go about finding out?
And if it is how do we go about putting it out of its rotten misery----aka ending it?
As far as the deer hunt goes, who voted that in with it being on a ballot?
PS where does all that money collected by SID go? It sure as heck ain't fixing the roads.

Sorry-that was supposed to read without it being on the ballot.
