Helen Keller billboard is causing a buzz

The billboard is not offensive. It shows a wonderful child that went on to become an international figure for Alabama and the United States. She could not see, but she would want others to see the famous pump, home and grounds where her world began with the help of Annie Sullivan.

If you work at it hard enough, you can find someone to take offense at anything. I don't see what the fuss is all about. I read somewhere once that people who TAKE offense add just as much misery to the world as those who GIVE it. Lighten up, people!

i think she was an amazing woman. who else with her problems could've done that? i have visited her home twice and my kids really loved it. they have more respect for the blind now that they see what people can accomplish!
