How about those that wish to have their kids learn about the real world....are you going to throw their wishes out the window? How about we hide the fact that mom and dad love each other and they are a family so when the kid grows up and happens to be straight they can learn everything then?

For once Wayne, I agree with you. To a point.... I don't think that kindergartens (my daughter was 4 when she started) should be worried with sex. Any type of sex. Hetro, Homo, Uni, social, group, etc... They should be reading Dr. Suess and learning that apples are red. There is time for social equality after they fully understand things like the fact that Barneys bag isn't really magic and that sharing is a good thing. But, I must admit that if little 4 year old Jonny says something to another student like; "You have two moms and my parents say they will go to hell for their sins." the teacher may have to bring it up. That is certainly not playground talk and would be a bit mean and (I hate to say it) totally unacceptable in their current social setting.

You can continue to hide facts from your kids but I'm on the side of those that want their kids to gain knowledge of their world. To be quite honest I'm a bit tired of those wanting some people to go back into a closet and live a lie so people like you can go through life with blinders on. lol No blinders. We knew they were in the closet and that's where they belong. You want your kids to gain knowledge of the world? Send them to countries where children go to bed hungry every night with bloated bellies. The "plight" of the gays is hardly knowledge of the world.

Let them be children and GROW UP FIRST, ok?

Because, if you're talking about gay marriage, it's sinful, ludicrous, there's no such thing, it's stupid. Only men and women are supposed to get married. That's the only way to have children biologically. There are other issues in this country that Christians could be equally loud on....lotteries, gambling, political lobbying and all the crookedness that goes on in politics, etc.

I guess you are referring to the fact that we are both unwavering in our beliefs. Christians don't go around trying to kill everybody that's not a Christian. The Taliban, on the other hand, are a very violent group. They hate Christians. They want Islam to be the world religion. They are fanatics in the strongest sense of the word. Maybe Christians are fanatics, too, sometimes; but we don't go blow ourselves up just to kill people. I don't know. Who killed Dr. Tiller? Who bombs abortion clinics? Who refuses to do their job and prescribe birth control?

I do believe that people who practice homosexuality (notice that I do NOT endorse in any way the notion that people are born homosexual just like they are born yellow or black) should have rights to be treated nice and not harmed, etc.....just like any other citizen who does not practice homosexual sin. I DO NOT believe that the public school should try to shove the homosexual agenda and line of thinking on every child. No, NO, NO. Also, Venus mentions having kids. How did you have kids? Also, here's another point that I didn't see mentioned. If God has been keeping this nation safe and protected from the likes of Mussolini and Hitler and Tojo, which He has, then why risk losing his hand of protection by having the federal government sanction something like homosexual marriage which God hates? This country already lets things happen that I don't think God likes; stuff like gambling (ie. Vegas, Reno, etc.). Your comments???? "god" is imaginary and is not the ruler of our country.

But since it is an opinion based in religion, it cannot form the basis of a law. The law in this country is meant to be religiously neutral. Moreover, you have no standing to protest the granting of equal rights to another group, when doing so does not affect your rights at all. Given that this is the legal reality, it seems it is YOU that is trying to improperly and illegally impose your religious doctrines on other people. This is America, not Iran. Get over it.

LOL If anyone belongs in closets it's those that believe they have all the rights because their way of life is the only way. Throughout history we've seen the results of such thinking and the innocent people that have been hurt or killed because of it. As time has passed and groups have been accepted as equal those that were on the wrong side of the issue have found it necessary to hide their shame....by going into the closet. I hope you find a nice comfortable one.

Who says they have to understand anything sexual. Kids do understand people caring for one another and they understand families. It's your mind that turns to sexual thoughts not the kids mind.

How come when it was blacks wanting equality and interracial couples wanting to get married did some christian voices become as loud as they are today? There is barely a peep on the issues you mentioned. You need to work on that. Besides civil marriage has nothing to do with religious marriages. If they did atheists would not be married ( you know the one very very BIG SIN) Besides, I'm not intent on making anyone live my beliefs....that would be you. If you believe it's a sin to commit one's life to another and they are the same sex then don't do it. No one if forcing you to.

What did I dodge. You haven't said anything really worth dodging. Your mind reading act with pretending to know what's in the minds of gays is a bit silly. If you really want to be honest you would admit that it's your mind that turns to sex when you think about homosexuals. It's your mind that puts your weakness and problem on 4 year olds. I'm also sorry that you see so few families in this world. Think of all those poor children living without a family because they happen to live in a single parent or guardian home. I and my family disagree with your definition of family.
