Tails & Massdee wanted a job Tetris & Justme have an ax to grind. Mayor DeMaria is the best Mayor Everett has ever had!!!!!!!!!!

I think they don't like me either and I'm the best politician the city has ever seen.

Carlo will soon be back making the doughnuts or working for his pal, Thibeault, as the manager of Wood Waste.

Whatever you’re going by over here.......you are out of your mind. I think JW -Jill all these aliases -are stalking the mayor. You truly must have a crush on him to make these things up and come up with the stupidest things. Not that I owe and explanation but I would NEVER take a city job and NEVER had one or wanted one. I have been at my firm for many years and would not leave there for a two year stint just to collect unemployment in 2010.

I think YOU have major issues and YOU need some help with your fascination with the mayor. The issues concerning Wood Waste is a serious matter and city hall is a disaster…… and we are going to pay for all of it and all you can do is say stupid things and how he's "SO GREAT"

The dollar store in Glendale Square sells Pom Pom's. Go get yourself some….. and plant your ass at 484 Broadway to cheer him on as he comes into work. Try 11:30 AM (maybe) he might drag his ass in by then....just might. Then you can catch him on the way out. I think he’s pooped by 2:00 and has to go home. There is help for this type of “Fatal Attraction” and a free clinic in Everett Square. I suggest an appointment and medication rather quickly.

I am really sorry guys, my boss made me post those hurtful things. I know I shouldn't have done it but you see I have way too much time on my hands since I am being under worked and overpaid. See, I was one of the lucky ones, I did land a job by k.i.s.s.i.n.g. up.

I'm not a frequent Topix poster but since someone told me that I was taking some shots in this thread, I thought that would stop by and respond to the post in question.

First off, this is the second time in a month or so that someone (the same one?) has found it necessary to post disparaging remarks on Topix about people who post regularly over on the Everett Average Citizen board. That is certainly anybody's right; but, people who post on Topix may not know or care who we are. I can't speak for all of my board mates but, personally, if you have something to say to me, please bring to me. I don't understand why anybody couldn't come to where we regularly post to take us on. In my view, you're more than welcomed to and it's only fair to do so.

Secondly, I have a few questions that I would like answered in my case specifically. If accusations are going to be made, I believe that you need to be willing to back them up. I would guess that my fellow board mates might like answers to the same questions as they pertain to them as well. My questions are as follows:

1) What grudge do I have against Mayor DeMaria?

2) Why would I be jealous of him doing a good job?

3) What lies have I posted against the Mayor?

4) What ax to I have to grind?

I have never had any direct dealings with the Mayor, so how can I have a grudge against him? Why would I be jealous of any mayor doing a good job? I only want to see any mayor do the best job that he can for the entire city. Posting lies? Please give me at least one example of this. An ax to grind? I don't think so.

For full disclosure though, I'll provide the following. I did not vote for the mayor; I voted for Joe McGonagle in both the primary and the final election. I thought that Joe was the "best" candidate from a very weak slate. If I thought that there was anyone better on the slate, I would have voted for them. So, I'm not a disgruntled McGonagle supporter; far from it. If anything, I'm a disappointed McGongagle supporter and the disappointment lies with Joe.

When the mayor was first elected, many of his supporters came on our board and asked us to give him a chance. Not wanting to see him fail, because we had just been through two years of failure in the opinion of many, I kept quiet for the rest of the year out of respect for the request. When the Mayor first took office, I was actually very impressed as he seemed to be exceeding my expectations by a great deal, but my expectations were admittedly very low. This better than expected performance continued to be the case until around the end of February, when I feel he start to level off and then quickly headed into the territory that I had expected. Would I vote for the mayor for re-election? I doubt it. But until you know who his opposition may be and what his continuing job performance will be, I couldn't totally rule it out either.

I would appreciate a response to my questions. Thank you.

Probably not as much as Carlos over paid under worked department heads that never seem to get anything right.

It doesn't really take a whole lot of time, Donice. And it is certainly worth the investment of time to attempt to maintain your reputattion from unsupported attacks.

What are the DeMaria people afraid of? If he is doing such a great job then he has nothing to worry about. Most people are intelligent enough to make up their own minds on the issues. We understand what is good for our families and our city. Many of us pay close attention to how our tax dollars are being spent. We know when an administration isn't being open and honest. We know when we call the mayor's office with a question and the person answering the phone is rude and condescending. We know when we are being lied to, and most importantly, we know when we have had enough and we get out and vote.

I can't understand why there is so much sniping on this blog. We all have the right to speak our opinion. I haven't read comments on the other forum so I don't know what is said there. Come November, the voters will speak. I think the problems in Everett City Hall go WAY back, long before Hanlon and DeMaria.

Oh, the only time I have a problem is when someone rants on, like Dr. Gonzo did on the other topic about the fight in the Bella Rosa Bar. He just went on and on - full of nonsense. Tetris made perfect sense up above and had a right to defend him/herself. It was sensible, well thought out and polite.

The other blog is more issue orientated. There is the occasional snipe but it is usually done by only one or two bloggers. There are very few rumors or innuendos over there. Most everyone is respectful of other's opinions, even when they disagree. I find out a lot of what is going on in Everett on that blog. It's worth reading most of the time.

I also come here and read this blog, I call it the National Enquirer. A lot of times it gives me some comic relief.

Comic relief? For cryin' out loud, this is serious business over here! I want to know why those people over there don't like me!

For some reason, Topix isn't very friendly about posting links to other websites; it lets you post a link but only shows the post with the link to you so you think everyone sees it. Notice the missing post numbers between the request post and this post. So we'll try this again changing the dots to dashes. Where ever you see a dash, replace it with a dot for the actual web site address. Sorry that it needs to be this complicated.
