The US government is NOT "running " the healthcare business. You are wrong. Like Medicare the govt is facilitating the partial payment. The Insurance Co.s, doctors, hospitals ( PRIVATE SECTOR) are RUNNING the healthcare indusrty , providing the coverage , saying what they pay, what doctor you see, or procedure they will cover.

You premise is right wing misinformation.

Is the Gov't starting a new "program" that will require more employees salaries and benefits to be paid with tax money? Will the Gov't use tax money to make these payments? Will the Gov't ensure there will be no fraud or waste with this program?

Sorry.... the Gov't track record when it comes to running programs is terrible. How about addressing tort reform, fraud, and other areas which is causing healthcare costs to rise.

Do we have 30 million Americans that the private companies won't insure or Amricans that cannot afford the crazy premiums?
Of course there are "program costs";
Medicare has " program costs" for 80 million seniors; repeal that?

Tort reform is a miniscule problem. Obama offered to do something in his address/ put some caps if you can get the Republicans to agree to pass the bill( think not); if Obama does the Republicans will still not vote for it.

Missed the GOOD POINTS: lower premiums, repeal the anti-trust exemption, more Americans insured, real cross-state competition; because you have an illness, can't just drop you if you pay your premiums; wasteful Medicare reduced ( you know the little old ladies that go just for a social visit or the suppliers that give you a wheelchair you don't need); pre-existing conditions eliminated; 6 million Americans have a public option-self-sustaining; covers 96% of all Americans; reduces emergency room visits; saves $30 billion over 10 years/reduces the deficit( CBO figure),grants to fund more general practicioners, electronic transcripts to save money;fund rural hospitals

Another govt program? Repeal Medicare, CHIPS, Medicaid, Social Security, and Veteran Health admin for vets and the military then?

Fraud- that's the private sector: pharmacies, hospitals , doctors , medical suppliers. They defraud the insurance companies , too , not just the govt. Agree go after them.

Do nothing- private premiums triple, cover less, increase co-pays, drug costs up, bankrupcies due to unpaid medical costs up. Sicker population

Repeal what? Currently the Gov't does a poor job running programs, they do not need another one. Some of the good points can be addressed without the massive bill being pushed through now that most of Congress never read. As someone stated before, if roof is leaking, fix the holes, do not tear it off and design a new roof.

Worse than that. The seniors (aka elderly) do not even want to pay the taxes. Think everything should be handed to them, while their kids contribute NOTHING and live a middleclass life.

Sooooo true, isn't it.

No it isn't true!
What do you have against the elderly? You always slam them. Most of the ones I know pay taxes and have for many more years than you.

I am disgusted that Evergreen has used the Stimulus money to set-up the shop so that the Manufacturing could be sent to China to save a buck. Keep the Jobs in the US. That's why our economy is suffering. No Middle class person has a Job to by the cheap China made goods.

I'd like to see a list of the towns and cities that have red light cameras. I will refuse to do business in these towns. I can't count the amount of times that I didn't have the nerve to start slowing down for a yellow light so that I will be stopped for the red light be cause a vehicle behind me is to close behind me. Fearful of being hit I keep going, only to check my mirror a and see the next two or three cars ran the light. Why would you even go to these areas?

The legislature hasn't approved them yet. Rockland and Brockton have preemptively passed ordinances so they can put the things up if they do become legal.

There is still time to fight this. Call your representative and Senator.
