Rep. Niki Tsongas (D) voted on the health bill exactly the way the majority of people that voted to elected her wanted her to vote. She won the election, which means the majority of electors voted for her.

" ...ignored the WILL of her constituents"???? Back that fantasy statement up with something . when you try, you expose the lunacy of it.

The US government and the CDC are in charge of public safety, not the private sector, so they have not "taken it over from the private sector".

It's available; there are no long lines.

How long have you been in the country?

H1N! concerns - do YOUR part to keep healthy. Eat well, get enough rest, wash your hand often as a start. And if you get do get ill - stop everything, get medical help and rest, and refrain from the public as much as possible so not to pass it on.

Per most polls, yes many people agree that some sort of reform is needed. However, the majority of the citizens do not approve of the reform being proposed by Congress. And getting 1 GOP vote in the House does not truly equal bipartisanship. The GOP and moderate Democrats have put forth recommendations and are being ignored and dismissed.

Look at the most recent Rasmussen numbers and it indicates "Only 25% Strongly Support the plan while 42% are Strongly Opposed."

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_conten ...

And a recent Washington Post/ABC poll back on October 20th indicated the majority felt there was too much Government involvement in the nation's health care system. In addition the majority did not support the proposed changes.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/ ...

And according to MSNBC only half (not majority) the country approves of Obama's handling of health care.

The initial question had to do with Niki Tsongas, not National Polls on lack of Healthcare.

Another poll: 80% of Americans want something done, and agree that the Republicans have been non-cooperative from the beginning, generated misinformation, and scare tactics( death panels and socialistic takeover of the economy), rarely talk about the 30-48M uninsured. Even with concessions( abortion funding, some tort reform),they will as a block still never vote for it just like ALL Republicans did not with Social Security & most w/h Medicare.

85% of Americans are under private coverage and Medicare, so naturally they want the status quo and this is reflected in the polls.

It's about doing what's right for the uninsured in the land of plenty.

What is federal funding for abortion doing in the "health plan" in the first place? You know the gimmie girls use abortion as birth control!!

No snowmen, candy canes, santa claus or any other religous items allowed at a school holiday fair is ridiculous. Kids and parents alike love this time of year no matter what their religous background, and if they don't they can opt to stay home. The school has gone too far. What else are they going to take away from the kids? Maybe they should stop teaching religion in humanities class and not get paid with currency that says "In God We Trust". What a disgrace.

To whom it may concern,

This was sent to Old Navy who opened on Thanksgiving.

I have been in retail most of my working life and I find it very distubing that we have stooped to the level of opening up on Thanksgiving, is Christmas next?. With
all the talk of family values and quality time spent with family it to me is just garbage. Blame it on the economy? NO! Because stores have been pushing the envelope for too many years opening sooner and sooner. I know that I will see who opened up on Thanksgiving and will not spend one penny in those stores. And for all the fat cats who make this happen , I can guarentee you that they are at home with the family sitting on the coach watching the parade and football games as I did when I was a child with my folks. Until the government stops this it will just get worse. So as a consumer and a father I ask please consider what you are doing to families and you may say we ASK who wants to work. But we know they end up on the naughty list . We grew up with stores open 6 days a week and the mom and pop stores amde their money on days like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. Shame on corporate America. Maybe if we showed the same concern that we where shown back then by our employers we would get the dedication from the associates. Enough is enough. Just as the issue in Chelmsford was such an issue , why are we accepting this.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Scorpio

It will be easy to let things get on top of you today, especially if you're already feeling rather tired and listless. Do yourself a favor and keep away from anyone who often makes you feel a bit fed up or defensive, because they're the last person you want to be around at the moment. They'll make your spirits sink down to your ankles in a flash, and who needs that?
