I love that everyone is arguing about the Pike County Jail....back and forth....back and forth....but no one it seems, other than myself, has noticed that there are 2 different jails being discussed. One is in Pike County, Ky and the other is in Pike County, Ms! I happened into the forum via the McComb, Ms (39648) search so my assumption is that the Ky folks are in the wrong forum!:-)

When Fred Johnson was in office the Pike County Jail was clean and safe. Inmates were not harmed in any way. Fred Johnson was fair. At least he was never sherriff and on house arrest. lol

I think if u don't like the way u r treated while your in jail here is how to fix it stop living off the taxpayer with a check get a job stop eating ever pill you ppl can get ahold of and stealing everything you get your hands on and then you wont have to worry what or how ppl is treated in jail

I spent 29hrs in holding, no food, bedding, and yes Very cold! I'm thinking in my head, ya I'm not gonna say something and let it turn into a Lackawanna County Prison type matter(Beat ya, Hang YA,,oh ya,true,,Trust me)..
So after the 29th hr i asked if the can get me transferred yet in tired,, you wanna guess what was said, oh we forgot about you, oh no-one processed you?? i was like F..Me..
worst court system ever!!! Kangaroo Court!!!
they added fake charges to my record and a Felony that i shouldn't have...
Homicide by Vehicle..
oh no joke, prob gonna sue the county and get big bucks,, oh and DONT FORGET THE JUDGE ON THE ANKLE BRACLET FOR DUI.. WOWWWW

You can't expect much when the Pike County Sheriff is on house arrest himself.You can't run an office if you can't go to work. When Sheriff Fred Johnson was in office he did what ever he could to provide as safe, clean enviroment not to mention her rehabed every person that came through his jail.

Mississippi, because there is no upstairs for the women prisoners. I know because I worked there!

I dont know where yall got your information on the sheriff being on house arrest. I worked with him from the time he took office in 2004 until I retired in 2010. He was never on house arrest. He never missed a day of work unless he was out of town a couple of days for sheriff's conventions.
