At least he did not get it stuck to him by the Double JJ. I wonder if any performers got paid. If they did it was wrong. The creditors should get their money first.

Sad news--so young, so much talent--a loss in so many ways. Wishing all who loved him peace during this sad time.

Shove it Jared. For DMB fans like myself, we lost one of our friends today so show a little bit of respect. For those who can't appreciate DMB music, your loss, but to each his own. For those who can't appreciate human life, and understand the immense loss that not only DMB fans are feeling, but anyone who was close to Roi, take a step back and look beyond the music to the fact that Roi was a living, breathing friend, son, hero to many people. Roi, you'll be greatly missed. Way too soon to Say Goodbye.

If Dave Matthews Band cares so much about other people, then why are they not even cancelling their concerts this week in order to pay their respects, and why did they dump their toilet waste from their RV tour bus into the Chicago River? They claim to care about the environment, but they destroy it. Bunch of liberal hypocrites with terrible music and a loser fan base.

My lord, I had no idea how ignorant people have gotten. Even if you do not like the band's music, it's hard to believe that people don't have a little more compassion from a "human" perspective. The man is gone for christsake. I realize some of these comments were made before he actually died of complications of his injury, but that doesn't excuse the behavior. It's blatantly obvious that the people doing all the hating are very, very young and do not have the mental capacity to separate their taste or opinions in music from simple compassion for your fellow man.
Also, I have no idea why the "poop drop" in Chicago was even brought into these comments. It's just another scenario that really shows the ignorance of the cowards who hide behind their computers and spew their hate. Do you actually think that Dave, or any member of the band, actually pushed the button (or ordered the pushing of the button) to drop the poo in the Chicago River? I understand that DMB haters love to throw this in the face of fans, as another reason not to legitimize the band, but come on, you're only making yourselves look really, really stupid and uninformed.
RIP Leroi.

Here's some words from the crew and Dave about why they didn't cancel any shows due to the passing of Leroi. It's amazing that you have to point this stuff out to people, but there are obviously some thick skulls up in Michigan.
-from 8/19
"As we sat this afternoon contemplating the loss of our brother, we wondered how we could possibly do a show today. Dave put it into perspective stating, "There's no place I'd rather be than here with you guys right now." We cherish special memories of our lost friend. Tonight, Dave told a story about LeRoi at a bar in Virginia where the cash register was near the stage and LeRoi leaned on the register because "standing had become a chore". Roi proceeded to play the most beautiful version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Dave said, "that was the day I fell in love with him. And I'm still in love with him." It's safe to say we all were in love with him. "It's always easier to leave, than to be left." -DM
