Looking for info/photo in Charlevoix

I'm looking for a photo or wondering if anyone in the Charlevoix area would be willing to take a photo and email it to me? I'm looking for a photo of a house at 602 Grant Street. I spent a lot of time there as a kid with my childhood friend, Randy, who lived there with his mom, Marjorie. Randy's mom passed away a few years ago and I assume Randy has inherited the place and I've heard it's up for sale but have lost touch with Randy over the years and have no idea how to contact him. Last I heard he was in the music business in Detroit. I don't find the house listed in the MLS anywhere, so maybe it's for sale by owner?

Is anyone in Charlevoix willing to go by the house and see if there's a "for sale" sign of any kind at the place with a contact phone number or name of a realtor? Maybe snap a pic of the place for me? I've always loved that place, even though it's kind of small, but it would be great to have as a summer vacation place! Lots of good memories there!

There is some public information about the homeowner at the address you asked about.

Topix won't allow the entire address to be posted, maybe it's the zip code that's triggering the censor, I don't know.

Call "information", I'd say, to find out if your friend has a listed phone number in Charelvoix. He is listed as the homeowner.

Yes, that is my friend who is listed as the homeowner but he is no longer in the Charlevoix area and hasn't lived there for 25 years. I know he's in the Detroit area now but there is no record of a phone number or address for him. I found a mutual friend of ours who is also now in Detroit and has had some more recent contact with him than I have. This mutual friend told me that my friend's step-father (widower of his mother) is actually handling the sale of the house and has POA to do so, since my friend is no longer in the area to handle the transaction. We don't know the step-father's name or have any way to contact him about the house. I don't know if it's for sale through a realtor or a private sale. I was hoping there might be a sign on the property with some contact info for either a realtor or the step-father.

Perhaps you could call a Charlevoix realtor and ask if they would help you with the info for a sale at the address. You can find one easily enough, as I've seen them listed on the Charlevoix news page at topix. Or google up some from that area.

The home at 602 Grant St. is not currently listed for sale and has not been listed for sale by a realtor in the last 3 years. According to the Charlevoix County assessors office the home is owned by Randy Skiver.

Randy does own the house in name only. Ed Linse, his step father, is caring for the house because he can't find Randy to sign/sell it. The house/land is worth about 50 thousand. If anyone knows where Randy is, please tell him to contact Ed and get this resolved before it goes to the State for back taxes. That would be a shame.

I don't know Randy, I know Ed Linse. Mr. Linse is trying to keep the house up for Randy but the expense is getting a little much what with taxes, insurance, utilities etc. If you know Randy, at least have him call or write to Mr. Linse regarding the house...keep it up or let it go.

Randy, sign the POA and Ed will sell it and give you the money. It's that easy. He has buyers lined up already. Just send the POA.

Can any of you think of another way, through a different search engine perhaps, of contacting this Randy S. fellow?? A search engine specifically for Michigan residents sense it sounds like this Randy has chosen to stay in that great state.
