The girl said she met Terry a year ago at the South Charleston Enrichment Center, a business his wife operates. She said she babysat for the couple at their Ridgeview Drive home the night of June 22 and that Terry woke her at about 3:30 a.m. June 23 telling her that he was taking her home.
While in the vehicle Terry told the girl he had been watching her during her cheerleading practices and that "she had the face of a child and the body of a woman," according to the complaint.
Instead of taking her home, the girl said Terry drove her to Montrose Elementary School on Montrose Drive. He parked in the parking lot and began smoking a marijuana blunt. He blew the smoke in her face and forced her to smoke the blunt with him.
She said Terry got out of the vehicle, pulled her out by her arm then held her arm behind her back while he touched her. The victim told him to stop multiple times but said that Terry refused, telling her to be quiet and that he wasn't hurting her, the complaint said.
Gordon got a search warrant for Terry's vehicle and found a paper napkin with hair, a small plastic bag containing suspected marijuana, pieces of a cigar wrapper, a piece of paper with a phone number written on it, a white cloth towel and a pornographic DVD inside the vehicle.
Terry was taken into custody last Friday and charged with second-degree sexual assault and first-degree sexual abuse. He was released the next day on a $100,000 property bond.
