How does someone "forget" that their 3 year old is still out in the hot, broiling car?, for 3 HOURS!

Unbelievable. Lock parents in same car for same time this afternoon. No jury will convict you for doing it.

My heart goes out to the parents of this child. Does anyone really think they MEANT to do this? I sure don't. I was not there, but I do know this is a horrible dream they will live the rest of their days. How does one get over something like this? They do not. Prayers for the 3 year old, but I know she is singing with the angels today. The parents will never get over it. Leave them alone, if you can't give them support, then please have a kind heart and say nothing. This sort of thing happens. It might be to teach you or one of your children something that you will never forget. Remember this please.

Which is "as it should be" too. I'm sorry, but this is inexcusable.

This is a terrible way to die.
There have been reports of 4 month
old babies that have pulled their
hair out while locked in a broiling
hot car.

I'm sorry I just don't see how you
misplace your 3 yr old for 3 hours.

Negligence. Having a child means certain unavoidable responsibilities. The most basic is ensuring your child is not playing with loaded guns, throwing knives, climbing in refrigerators or, in this case, locked in an oven.

How do you forget a child in a car for 3 hrs? Unbelievable!! They came home from church and they all got out and forgot the 3 yr old! How do you do that? It takes only minutes for a child to die in a hot car! MINUTES! An infant can die in 10 minutes. A 3 yr old on a hot day in the 90's didn't stand a chance. Child neglect charges are being filed! Yes my heart goes out to them. They were fostering the child. When I go someplace and return home the first thing I do is get my children out of the car! How do you forget a child? This really upsets me. I am sure if they have any other foster children they will be taken and if they have any of their own I am hoping they take those as well!! Sorry I dont have much empathy for them.

To that john guy! Omg really? I hope u dont honestly feel that way! There is no excuse for leavin your child n a hot car for 10minutes much less 3 hours! They definitely need to have any parental rights to any child permanently revoked! No one that is that ignorant should ever be put in charge of another human life ever! I also agree the parent should be put in a car in the middle of a blistering hot afternoon for a couple hours n see how well they come out! Whats awful is that the baby was most probably taken from a home to begin with that she wasnt being cared for properly and this is where they stuck her!

Agreed!
Most ppl don't realize that even if the outside
temp is 80F the interior of a car will be over
130F.
I've gotten into fights w/strangers over them
leaving their dogs in cars. I'd absolutely strangle
someone over a kid left in a car.

Mitch: you probably do not have any compassion, but probably go to church everytime the doors open and profess to be the greatest Christian from the heaven above. Wonder if it were you we were reading about? Leaving your child or grandchild in the car. See it would be a different story. There is not one jail on this earth that could punish these parents more than they will punish themselves. Now you think about that. No there is no excuse for this action, but what are you going to do about oh great one? You can not punish this family any more than they are doing to themselves. I am sorry that I wrote anything on here. I thought there would be compassion and understanding. No matter how each of you try you will never judge anyone like the hand of God. Think about that too. You all just want to kill em, shoot em, but them in a car like the 4 month old and pull its hair out. You all are the most pathetic people on the earth.

Forget those ppl.
I'll save my sympathy for the child that had
to suffer a horrible death.
I have raised 3 kids. The youngest just
turned 14 a few days ago.
I am sure that I was not the best mother ever
but I Never left my kids anywhere.
Never forgot them, never didn't know where
they were for 3 hours when they were 3 yrs
old.

It's just incomprehensible to me to
remember to take your pocketbook in the
house but forget the kid....?????

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Cancer

Your mind is working well, so give it plenty of exercise. You could get involved in an intellectual discussion that forces you to think things through for yourself, or you might have to do some serious thinking about a forthcoming travel plan. If you're often wary of saying what you think you'll feel much braver about speaking up today, which is good news if you want to fight your corner or express your point of view.
