Despite sensational attempts to sell the news, the media has remained quite objective, giving the pledged delegate and popular vote lead Obama has compared to Clinton's. He would have been declared the winner in a landslide on super Tuesday in March. Instead they waited until April and pronounced a "big triple win" using Texas (which she lost) and Ohio (which Rush Limbaugh won) on top of tiny Rhode Island, to keep her going.

IMO the media is in it to make money for the media. The race had to be quickly carved from 7 to 2, which holds maximal horse-race interest with minimal attention span, and the race must have lots of twists and turns, even if totally artificial.
