Why is it always such a mess to try and get to and from work during this event? Idiots always stopping in the middle of the road because they see someone else's crap to buy. I hate it.

I agree you have to be more aware of other drivers during the 127 yard sales. But, you should be that way all the time on 127, the drivers texting, racing to get past the car in front of them, just to be stopped at the next red light, love to laugh at them. I thing it is a wonderful event to bring in outside money to our state and counties. Stop crying about it and just pay attention. And to all the state workers you can slow down for a few days.

127 morning drive and afternoon drive is ridiculous! People want to ride your bumper. I'm doing 60mph and I still have people riding.. It's stressful and just plain dumb. Riding my bumper will not get you to your destination any quicker.

You would have no problem with people a) if you are not one of the idiots on carlton or one of the other side streets who deems it brilliant to pull out in front of a car doing 60 and you can't even get to 30 before they reach you. WAIT! b) if you are not one of the idiots traveling 60 in the left lane while others are wanting to go faster. Yes, the speed limit is 55 so don't complain about others going faster than you while you yourself are speeding by doing 60 mph c) if you are not one of the idiots who feel the need to slow down when people come up behind you and wish to get around you. just get the hell out of the way, you are the problem if you are going slower than the average flow of traffic. You are likely to be the cause of the accident.

Can someone please explain to me why you have to drive over the speedlimit. I drive the speedlimit everyday. I get to work 10 min early to work almost everyday. I just don't get it. I work with people who are always 10 to 15 min late and they complain about traffic. Just leave your house 15 min. early. Not that hard to do. If someone is riding my bumper I do not go any faster. They may be able to afford a ticket but I can not. Yes follow the rules of the road and set a good example for the teenage drivers.

No the person driving like a bat out of hell is the cause of the accident. Slow down, the only reason ever to drive over the speedlimit is in the case of a medical emergency, and then turn on your hazard lights and lay on your horn. That is the only time you have a valid reason to go over the speedlimit. Maybe the cops should also take this advise too. They never drive the speedlimit and they are not on a silent call 24 7

The problem in this yard sale equation is the gawkers who are going with the flow of traffic, then slam their brakes in the middle of traffic because they just can't miss a yard sale.
