Man Kills Self in Front of City Council
“When a gun gets whipped out like that, someone is going to get shot, but I didn't know who”
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A business owner shot and killed himself during a City Council meeting Thursday night after members voted against his request to rezone his property, witnesses said. via KAAL-TV Austin

What an evil city council clarksville must have to drive a man of desperation to suicide.

Poor independent business men are becoming a rarity in this world, and these nasty city council memebers wouldn't evben let this guy run a frickin barbershop....
|
|
|
It's a sad day when a man is driven to this merely because he wanted to expand his barbershop and try to make an honest living....Sounds like a real repsonsive and intelligent city council down there in Clarksville...yeah right...

I hope this stands as a wake-up call for all local governments that blindly or callously walk over there citizens.

I think its sad for a man that makes a honest living to call out for help and get rejected by the city council. May be they were too busy to listen to his request. The way things are going now people are loosing homes, business and cars, because its hard times. I wonder did the city council consider that befor saying NO?

well maybe if the state and city would use tax money on other things like the working man and the teachers maybe dum and crazy s**t like this would not happen its funny how pl who make the final disci are the ones who dont have to wounder if there water and house bill is going to get payed....

It is the end of America as we know it when a man who has done so much good for this country is forced to such a horrible act. It is sad to note that the city council members won't lose any sleep. Small business people throughout this land are being blackmailed by planning commissions and city councils on a daily basis. These crooks are only interested in lining their own pockets on the money and now the blood of local business people just trying to earn an honest dollar. They would sell their own children if they could make a buck.
These people need to be removed from office. |

It looks like his business was on a major road with commercial around him? Was there a reason to turn him down? The little man loses again! Has this town given special privledges or breaks to big business like Wal-mart? Someone needs to find out! It is time for a change - and maybe hat change needs to start in downtown Clarksville!

Bo was an amazing man, and yes, I knew him personally. I have been getting my haircut in Bo's various shops for at least 15 years, maybe a little more. Just speculation, but I think there had to be more going on than just that incident. Bo will be sorely missed by more people than you can imagine.

Not an evil Council.....Stressed world we live in....If someone jumps off a bridge is the bridge evil? |
|
If they remove these people the "RICH" people would vote in more scape goats for "their" decisions My biggest Political Heros are ones who try to end wars not start them. Its is bad time in the USA |
|
Did the bridge shut down the man's business A bridge doesn't make a man beg for his barbershop to stay in business. A city council can ruin a person's life. |

Clarksville Tennessee is an extremely corrupt town, ran by a good-ole-boy club of business owners and political officials.

Bo was trying to get his home rezoned to Commercial property so he could borrow money against it to continue to operate his business which was in financial difficulty. His neighbors around him did not want a commercial piece of property next door to them. I don't blame them.
I happen to know Bo Ward and his family. His is a sad story of someone who had extended himself too far financially and was desperate for a way to get out and unfortunately that included sucide. |

BTW, I live in Clarksville and have done so for over 30 years. It's a great place to live.

Does the bridge have power over citizen's lives like the clarksville city council has?
