Chapel hill police dept...

I recently was pulled over by chapel hill police officers just because it was late night.Is that a crime to be riding around at night.people all over have different schedules there own...they said it just seemed suspicous...On top of that they searched me down and my girlfriend...The officers that patted down my gf were male officers dont they have to have female officers do that, isnt that a sexual offense or assault or something like that...i even heard obsenites come from one of the officers....bad language, very unprofessional...i dont know who these officers were but it was late night past 11:00 pm....DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE STORIES LIKE THESE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW.....

Any respectable officer of the law would not have searched your girlfriend without a female officer. i dont know the laws against this but im sure there is one. This is a good thread people need to hear this stuff..i have heard countless stories about police departments but some people are afraid to speak out in fear...We are all citizens and protected by a Constitution allowing us the right to freedom of speech, our first amendment right. We can speak out and say anything its our right as american citizens...be proud..

The chapel hill cops love to harass people.they dont have anything better to do so they got to try and make there self seem useful But i agree with big mama freedom of speech you gotta love it!

there is no law keeping a male from searching a female and since there are no female officers guess you will have to live with it. the only thing needed for an officer to make a traffic stop is REASONABLE SUSPICION. since you were out in the hill after 11 its pretty safe to say you were up to something and if you are under 18 its a curfew violation. oh i'm guessing you probably never use obsenities, cuz you are out late at night being a great citizen wathing over your other fine citizens. good job CHPD! keep it up!

I work second shift in lewisburg and im out past 11. does that mean im up to something to when i go home or go to walmart or to the store. i think sometimes cops should mine there own buisness, we dont go to there house and harass them i sleep all day and up all night so i take offense to ONE TIMES comment above. And as officers of the law they should be professional at all times obsenities are not ok.

This is for the part where you put, SINCE YOU WERE OUT IN THE HILL AFTER 11 IT'S PRETTY SAFE TO SAY YOU WERE UP TO SOMETHING... I work 11 at NIGHT to 7 in the MORNING and live in chapel hill, so if i have to go to shell im up to something i DONT THINK SO. You just dont have nothing better to do...

The cops know who is out up to no good and who are just passing through going to work. and jackie will be the first one to use profanity. 9 times outta of 10 if you aint doing nothing wrong cops wont bother you.

don't care for jackie. besides didn't he retire a few years back and recieved a car from the taxpayers as a gift? next thing you know he is working again. whats the deal. he's crooked just like all the other marshall county officials. and if you didn't know it, chapel hill has it's own separate laws.

Can't quote the exact statistic but a high number of people out past __:00 are found to be intoxicated. Could be one reason they pulled you over.

I am also curious to know if they wrote you a ticket/found anything. Just curious if they were right about their suspicion.

All municiple governments have their own laws. Surely you understand that. I believe you are incorrect about the retirement and the gift of a car. Don't start rumors by asking a question? You knew it wasn't true when you asked it, but realize that is a good way to get a rumor started.
