Police: Woman Filed False Report In Church Rape Case

When victims are sexually assaulted, their names are redacted from news reports to protect their privacy; however, when they are found to have filed false reports, their names should be reported just like any other crime....

This is why ALL cases (including ANY sexual assult cases) should be innocent until proven guilty; however, our society automatically convicts & sentences those accused of such crimes to death & banishment without a moments thought. I say this being a woman myself...When an accusation such as this is made by a woman (or child) nobody thinks about any possibility except to find someone to crucify when accusations like this are made.

On the flip side, people making such false accusations can seriously hamper ongoign investigations in which real victims exist. Then, people begin to wonder, is this persona victim or making false accusations?

I understand that there is a possibility that this young lady will face criminal charges herself. Personally, I think that is exactly what should happen. Her actions cost the taxpayers money in order for our police department to undercover her lies. Actions such as these also make it very hard for true victims to come forward, they are always afraid someone won't believe them because someone has done something just like this, not to mention how this tarnished the Church's reputation.
