Put priority on respect for Cherokee heritage in runway expansion

Well........it is not just in NC that the ancestors are not safe.......our newest concern is getting a call about a site near the city of Vallejo,Ca......3,500 years back to 6,000 years old with villages and shell mounds (burrials). If you are interested in sending letters to stop a park,buildings,150 year old homes being torn down, heavy equipment in and around and on this very old complex with burials the person for contact is Wounded Knee with Vallejo Inter-Tribal Council. Today the city is set to spray poison on the trees and all folage to kill them. Then start to bring in the bulldozers.

update on the glen cove site in vallejo, calf and the old village sites and the graves......the spraying poision on the tress, that happened. Then the tree cutting started. Next..........

update on the franklin airport site.......did anyone read the opinion section of the Smoky Mountain news for 11-18-09 by Lamar Marshall?
Then, followed by the letter of Larry Blythe, Vice Chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians on 11-24-09 in the opinion section of the same news. This waas a very good article.
Also the opinion letter on 11-24-09 from Angela L. Gunter, an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee. This was also a very good letter.

Alot of people are very concerned about this site.

REQUEST ONE. if you do state the reasons you want a public hearing. Also go to their web site for information and attached plans.
Also vote "NO" on the Franklin Press site.
