My, my.'Economic Development Executive' sounds like an awfully officious title; the kind that none of the rest of us Deming Dim-bulbs would ever aspire to earn. So let me guess, Linda Smrkovsky.... The guy in the wheel-chair also said he wouldn't c%om in your mouth, either. Am I right, Ms. smarty Deming Official? I hope you at least got a receipt for our tax money when he was done with you.

Better check the pockets of those city officials that made the loan to JJJ-no one would lend $$ to that sleeze without a payola-
Take a drive up to Alto and check out this sleez'es spread and his pride and joy,,,,the 10 million Loma Grande Ranch. Really a joke that he got $500,000 to save jobs in Deming and then gets raided for hiring illegals-guess that's his idea of providing jobs????
Follow the money folks- Watch out-this guy is ballzy enough to ask you for more!!!!!

Actually, it was a pretty good deal for Deming as well. It works out to about $1K per job per year. At that rate the $800 Billion stimulus would have created 200 million jobs for four years. The likely employee and employer FICA contributions and likely employee sales taxes on local purchases would roughly triple the $1000 per year.

Rumor has it the facility is being sold and the jobs - or most of them - will be saved. Be interesting what people inside the plant and in the know have to say.

For that Chico, I award you the Soft Pinko Star. It commemorates American thinkers who iterate exactly the same thing that followers of Lennen, Ingles and Marx did 80 years ago, but who are too stupid to realize that they are neither new, imaginary, practical or cognizant that they and their neighbors have just been robbed.

Economic or political philosophy has nothing or little to do with it. It is just math. If government is to spend money to create jobs (not saying that is good or bad per se) then at least get our money's worth. Solyndra and the stimulus was largely a bust and a waste of money. Relatively speaking, the loan (which may or may not be paid back in full or in part or somewhat in kind)to Proper Foods was, in terms of creating or sustaining jobs, a very good deal.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Taurus

The sad fact is that a certain person isn't making much sense right now. They seem to be talking nonsense, or maybe they've got the wrong end of the stick but are hanging on to it for grim death and refuse to let you correct them. Mind you, there's also the possibility that you're the one who has got themselves in a muddle but doesn't realize it. Scary!
