Any one else hear of the drug bust on Crowfoot

Yeah....the guy was growing pot in his basement. The police took out a whole truck full of pot plants and other stuff. This guy was no amateur.

What does he think he is in California were you can grow up to six plants per household? it's too bad there are 2 Tabacco stores with in a few blocks of Lake Wood Trails that SELL pot pipes, bongs and crack pipes. I saw a young teenager looked like 15 yo go into one of these stores and buy one. They have to be 18 yo to but Tabacco but a pipe I dont think they have to be of age.

What happened to the good ol' days when you used to make bongs in shop class?

Any lakewood development seems to be a cesspool

Hey Jobu are you an ex hippie? This is not the 1960's the young crowds like 15-20yo was not like you when you were a teenager! Minooka has transplants from Aurora, Joliet the City of Chicago. All of the people that moved in to Lakewood wanted better schools for their children. However some of the gangs that were in other towns moved in also with their parents. If they do sell crack pipes, bongs and pot pipes in the Tobacco stores it should be stopped ASAP to keep the drugs away from the kids.

I know this is off topic but unfortunately you got a bunch of losers from Blue Island also.

i live in lakewood trails and not every one there are bad people so you cant say that just because people come from aurora,joliet and chicago that there responsible for all the bad things going on now a days.....drugs and crime have been a part of minooka way before the new developements were even a thought...drugs are more rampant in small towns like these because there is nothing for our young kids to do so they imitate what they see in music videos and hear on there rap cd's....there just some wanna be thugs ...pray to god that some real gangbangers dont really move into this community because if they do ,iyou will see the murder rate ,violent crime go up ....if you think this is bad .you aint seen nothin yet

i see your point...and your right but what about the tobacco companies selling individual blunt, flavored blunts and rolling papers they are cashing in so why not let the tobacco shops make there money.i understand about selling to under aged kids but thats on the town of minooka to enforce the law and fine or revoke the license of anyone caught selling tobacco products to minors...

i know what your saying, jerry and i agree that selling any type of tobacco products to minors is not only unlawful but imoral.these are our kids but those kids are making the choice to purchase those items. i blame the merchants for selling to minors and i blame the minors for buying the bongs,blunts,etc. but mostly i blame the town of minooka for not enforcing the laws all ready in place to protect our youth....

I got out at the right time and headed to the great white North not south.

I went to the Tabacco store the one on RT 6 and Ridge RD on Sunday to get cigars. The place was full of teens buying cigs and pot pipes. They did not crad them to see if they were of age, furthermore they do Sell pot pipes, bongs and crack pipes of all kinds and shapes.
