So he saw the kids run away from a truck but did nothing? Sounds like great police work to me I know he must of been so busy doing nothing.

This makes me kind of sick. The new Intermediate school has made a path down Ridge Rd for the kids to walk on so they won't disrupt the car traffic on the east side of the building. If you have a child in this school then you certainly have experienced the nightmare they like to call traffic flow. People with degrees and very large paychecks, called engineers, decided that this was the best way to move the traffic, both car and pedestrian. Anyone can see it doesn't work and in creating a traffic mess for the cars they have left 10 & 11 year olds to walk down Ridge Rd., the last place they belong! Any idiot could have designed a better traffic pattern and put the kids on the path to the east of the buildings instead of out on Ridge Rd. where apparently you can just stop your car to talk to little kids while cops watch and do nothing.

You hit that right on the head, horrible planning. the cops are horrible, the town is in turmoil

Any word on the cop who did nothing or the different descriptions of the car by the kids or the policemen of the year. Or was it the policewomen of the year ( busy painting her nails), who dropped the ball.

In my opinion they should have been pulled over by that cop just for stopping. Those streets are very busy all day long; no car should be able to just stop (especially to talk to our youth). It's disruptive to traffic. If they had known the kids they should have known that traffic is just too heavy to be stopping on Ridge Rd. and would have pulled into the video parking lot or on Industrial Drive.
