Just recently came to hear of David Smoak being fired. Are there any formal allegations or has any litigation been filed. Evidently something serious has occurred, the bruising talk on these posts reflect some pretty strong feelings... I have been slightly acquainted with the Smoak's for many years and they both seemed like nice people with sweet children. I hope they can come out of this situation together or individually with lessons learned...

David had the initial affair years ago. I don't care what a person does, he is a grown ass man and should take responsibility for his actions. By this time, I would kick that sorry ass to the curb.

Edna, I'll say it again, there is a side you and others have no idea about and I sure as hell am not going to post it because it would only bring more hurt to the situation by posting it. I don't post names either like you do. What happened was bad and I don't know why they are still together because they are BOTH miserable together.

I have never been in the same room with David Smoak so I don't know what he is like personally. I did enjoy his radio program and listened for years. I have read comments that he treated coworkers badly, did he mistreat Jaime? They seemed to have a friendly relationship.

Flying Tiger - I don't believe you because I know Cindy and have for over 10 years. Is she or anyone else perfect? No way, but she is married to a SOB and should leave him.

Dave, I live in Tyler and I do know the situation.

Couldn't have happened to a better person. I never understood why his crappy show had to take over am 600 AND 1490. I am glad he is gone!!!!!

It amazes me how many folks have 100% perfect lives and marriages. I myself am far from having reached perfection so I am not in position to be critical and to speculate on what two people do behind closed doors. Maybe with continued work I will be perfect oneday.

Only those who have SEEN it first hand really know the truth about the situation. It is only a matter of time before we see David on TV or hear him scream TOUCH DOWN on the radio and I can't wait.
