Local schools waiting on directions before spending any stimulu...

Let's use the money to reduce our taxes. Of course, the fascists in charge of the country want to start new programs that will end up raising our taxes even more to continue.

You cannot get a "solid answer" unless you go to a resort for a conference? I guess if the stimulus money was voted on after the conference these school superintendents would be in a real bind.

I'm sure the current school board and administration can find a way to spend this money. They are good at putting us in debt. Maybe they could add an addition to the football stadium? We want to be leaders in sports programs and lets not worry about the scholastics program.

I cant' beleive it Tuscarora is going to wait and see how they can spend the money. that would be the first. Normally they spend and just send us higher tax bill the following year. Why put a new roof on the school that you so want to rebuild? Oh I know we will waste the money on a new roof then tear it down and ay oh well. Don't spend what we don't have!!!! Do us a favor and maybe the board should taking accounting class. If there is no money you can't write a check. I am sure if you stop by the accounting teacher will show you. Or better yet go to the class that everyone takes from Witter Keefer. She would love to show you how to save. someone sure should.

Curious that the conference is at a "resort." No surprise there is there. Why not somewhere equally serviceable, but less glamorous. How about a vacant Circuit Center store, for example. There should be plenty of unoccupied buildings available where these buffoons have already forced industries or stores out of business.

The schools didn't pick the resort and a lot of state sponored programs are held there.

Also in case you haven't noticed, the building project isn't happening. Now the district is left with piece-mealing and patchworking when they can. If you ask me this district has made leaps and bounds under Dr. Erb's direction is still making progress dispite everyone's negativity.

And yes Jim, when you are dealing with the government, as you should well know, it is difficult to get a straight answer. These leaders are just trying to make sure they spend wisely and don't get the districts in trouble. I'm sure the government in general is overwhelmed with questions and is going to try and address as many as possible at one time.

I hope they use it to fix the POOL. That way the whiners and complainers will continue to have something to bitch about.
