Not only does he make his family look bad but eventually he's going to kill somebody driving drunk and drug-addled and it's going to be on the State's Attorney's head for not prosecuting him earlier. This is at least the 5th time he's been in trouble. Maybe he needs to share a cell with his father for awhile. That might straighten him out
