It doesn't make any sense to conduct a campaign on public awareness then not be prepared for the response.

My dad makes a big point to get a flu shot every year and wouldn't ya know it, usually 2 weeks after the shot he gets the flu. He now has the flu again and is wondering when he can get his other shot for the swine flu. Just doesn't make any sense to me.

I have a friend, a nurse, who religiously gets a flu shot every year. Every single year she gets the flu and so does everyone in the house. She just got over "Swine' flu. I've had the flu once in 52 years. I've never had a flu shot. Why would I get one?

Same here. 39 years never got the flu or and never got a shot. We try to tell my dad just try it one year and don't get it since you get the flu every year but, of course old habits are hard to break.

The shots can do some tricky stuff to your immune system.

Gotta be careful and do your research

The flu shot is not a live virus, therefore doesn't give you the flu. In the old days, yes, it was a live virus, and most people did get sick from it. Now, the nasal spray version, that IS live. I wish people would stop saying that the flu shot made them sick.

BG SU did not say her friend, a nurse, got the flu from the shot........BUT that she still gets the flu with the shot, as does her whole family. The person writing just stated that they do not get the flu shot......and they haven't had the flu but once in many years.

It is just their observations.......

I still say it is profit motivated. It isn't for the public's health.

I saw the CDC ( a federal agency) under-estimated or something on the vaccines and the delivery is delayed, once again.

My question is this, they've known of the Swine Flu for a year now and can not deliver the needed vaccine in that time, so do we really, really want the federal government controlling health care????

Who has the federal government controlling healthcare other than the misinformed rabid right.

If offering a public option is controlling healthcare than we have greedy insurance controlled healthcare now.

It is ok to have your opinion, but by continuously voicing the same thing over and over will not change FACTS.
I posted this link to you before and you never responded.

Here is the link again stating that quote, "influenza like illness" is a general disorder as they put it after receiving the shot. Which makes alot of sense because NUMEROUS/MASS QUANTITIES of people get influenza like symptoms after the shot.

http://www.fda.gov/downloads/BiologicsBloodVa...

This information is coming directly from the vaccine maker, this is the packet insert. Again, I suggest you read all of the information provided, it is concerning to say the least.

The flu vaccine has been ineffective the last 2 years due to the poor match between the flu vaccine and circulating strains. Look it up.

So, all the fear mongering.."Get The Vaccine or DIE" is complete nonsense. Sure, some people will die and it is unfortunate but the vaccine is not some magical all protecting serum.

Dr's do say though that it is better to get the vaccine than not and I find that absolutely ridiculous. The flu vaccine has been pointless. But hey, maybe they will get it this year?!

A good article on flu shots but one critical piece of information that was missing would be a list of those places still offering flu shots, where and when. It would have added a significant set of facts to the article.

Do I detect a change of heart about the flu/swine vaccine?
If I am not mistaken you have always been an advocate of both.

Don't allow yourself to get injected with this poison, speaking of the H1N1 'vaccine'.
You still have a choice!

With all do respect, I'm not convinced that we can disprove peoples' claims. How much have we tackled and learned about viruses in the first place? Not much.

It just amazes me that people can bitch back and forth about something like getting a flu shot. G help us if something like polio comes along again where everyone needs to get vaccinated. If you don't want a flu shot, then don't get one. What has this country come to when you call your doctor only to be told that they are out of vaccine. I stood on queue in a supermarket to get one this year.

Will they also be giving our shots for the Swine Flu too?

I heard last month and before that, that was really the one to watch out for, not this H1N thing.

Who has Big Pharma, Big Insurance, the White Shoe Boys and the Federal Government controlling Health Care? Anyone with time to research, who doesn't get their news from TV, who isn't a Republican/Democrat, who is neither statist nor collectivist.

fixed it for you.
