Any truth to the rumor that Bob Paulson is considering another run for Mayor of Solon? Bob Paulson was a great mayor. We could use some new thinking and dynamism in the top spot in Solon. I'd vote for Bob Paulson as Solon's new mayor.

I think that Bob Paulson would bring back some citizen participation to Solon. The current administration has eliminated almost all the citizen advisory boards. Let's bring Bob Paulson back as Solon Mayor.

Maybe it's time for the "Thanker" to go and let's bring back Bob Paulson as Solon Mayor. give me a "thinker" and a "doer" over an official "thanker" any day.

While I never thought too much about it when Bob Paulson was mayor of Solon, the leadership Paulson provided propelled Solon forward. The current vacuum at city hall easily displays the difference in leadership. Maybe we should bring Bob Paulson back as Mayor of Solon.

We could do a lot worse than Bob Paulson as Solon's mayor. In fact, we already have.

What do you think of Bob Paulson's idea about investigating a golf course management company to operate Grantwood? Seems to me that Solon taxpayers have been subsidizing Grantwood for a long time. It wouldn't hurt to check it out.

Word on the street is that Bob Paulson will declare his Solon Mayoral candidacy before March. Who else will run? Will it be Drucker, Russo, Patton almost certainly? Think Scott has any chance left after tryin to create his own job and that Inner Circle thing from last time?

Today, March 6th, Bob Paulson threw his hat into the ring for the mayoral race in Solon, Ohio. I think Bob Paulson will make an outstanding Mayor. His knowledge of City issues and past mayoral experience make Paulson the ideal choice. Check out the full Paulson press release at www.solonjoe.com

Outstanding! I just checked out the website copied part of the announcement below

SOLON, OHIO -- March 6, 2009-- Former Solon Mayor Bob Paulson announced today that he will ask voters to return him to the position he held for three terms from 1987-97 stressing the need for a hands-on city manager again in the mayor’s office.
“I believe that our current City officials have lacked central coordination and direction,” Paulson said.“We just can’t take another four years where the person in charge doesn’t take charge.”
Paulson pointed to the confusion surrounding the 2008 Central Park rezoning issue and the current BriarHillLake debate as examples. This week it was revealed after months of debate that no one really knew ODNR’s true position on breaching the lake’s dam.“Every week new embarrassing twists and revelations make city officials look like they have little or no clue as to what they are doing.
Paulson says he has a defined and specific platform for his re-election bid:
Provide strong leadership with proven city management skills and principles.
“I’d rather be known as an informed, astute administrator than a smooth –talking politician. I was known as a go-to leader before and will be so again.”
Careful stewardship of city funds. Stop wasteful, foolish spending and mismanagement.

I'm glad to hear Bob is running for mayor. Bob wants the citizen involvement the way it used to be. This he says is a great way to groom Solon residents for future council/mayoral positions. Our current administration is more of a dictatorship and it's been getting worse every year.Watch the council meetings and see how residents are treated. Bob will make the changes our City desperately needs.
