This is a huge concern. OU is known as a party school and something needs to be done before someone gets killed.

Never had a problem with doors but did have issues with residents throwing their stuff all over the floors of the halls wrote some up for it and the RD let them off so what do they do? they just do it again and again and again. This person later became a RA go figure.

man, we did stuff like this all the time in college.

I remember filling up giant trash cans 3/4 the way full with water and leaning it against people's doors and knocking.

I agree with hmmmm above!! Back in the '70's we did typical college pranks and everyone took it well and no one went to court, lawyers were not needed and everyone, including the victim, had a good laugh.
LIGHTEN UP AMERICA-we need a sense of humor!!!
How many years would I get today for all of the "shortsheeting" I did back then??!!??

You have got to be kidding me!$1000 fine and 100 hours of community service for locking a guy in a room. They never even touched the guy, and you would think he was tortured. Did the "victim" not have enough common sense to pick up a phone, and call someone to rescue him from this heinous crime? Maybe the powers to be in this community should be worrying more about the upcoming riot; oops, I mean party than the issue of some dork getting locked in his dorm room.

I understand college pranks and all, and perhaps this was a little much...but lighten up people! Don't we have more serious "crimes" to worry about? Why clog up our court systems with something so petty? What a waste...

I'm sure there has o be more to this story then is being reported. Because if this is all over just getting locked in one's room then this is like beating the child for spilling his milk.
