If the price of gas was truly being manipulated by a cabal of "evil Republicans" as you dolts seem to believe, why would they have ever let it go so high in the first place, just months before a national election? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep the population happy with low gas prices, get the Republicans re-elected for another four years, and THEN jack up the price? What is it with Santa Fe and low IQ's? Are dumb people naturally attracted there like a magnet, or do smart people become stupid when they enter the city limits? Maybe Tom Udall could investigate that mystery. The "Why Are Gas Prices So Mucher Higher in Santa Fe" mystery never did get cracked, did it? Maybe he needs a new problem to turn his attention to.

For your information, and not that is is any of your business, but the picture is of a concept vehicle, the Hummer Hx, a 6 cylinder flex fuel vehicle about the size of a Jeep Wrangler. It may be introduced as the H4 as a 2010 model. It doesn't gouge pigs, which is why I am assuming you are concerned for your safety. I get a kick from being criticized by someone in Laguna Beach who also has a residence in Santa Fe about MY carbon footprint. Needless to say, it is probably half of what yours is. Keep your nose where it belongs.

Jack up the price, then lower it right before the election so that the consumers are greatfull, then stick it to them. It happened in 2000 and 2004

the drop in only prices is a result of various things. 1. Stocks 2. The fact that Americans are exploring other means of energy. 3. Natural gas is abundant and drill baby drill.

What is wrong with the tone, Toucan? Is it not a gas guzzler? I called the vehicle in the photo a pig, not you personally.
Since you posted that the vehicle is not out yet, are you a car salesman? Or just a vehicle that you like?

I am not a car salesman; just interested in the vehicle should it ever go into production. I took your comment to be quite rude; but if I overreacted, I apologize.

No apology necessary as it can sound rude.
However, you are not alone. I once posted that SUV drivers were hogs and my own cousin (who is a regular poster) really cussed me out a good one.
My other cousin (who is also a regular poster) just laughed at watching me get myself deeper and deeper in trouble while I tried to wheezle out of it.

I used to live behind the Orange Curtain myself.
