Sheriff's son pleads to battery charge

Full story: The Advocate

I think it was second-degree (battery), but I'm not a prosecutor. All I can do is voice my opposition, and I did that in (the judge's) chambers The son of East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Talmadge Bunch pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor battery charge in the beating of two West Feliciana Parish sheriff's deputies and a deputy's wife. via The Advocate

A $500 fine, a suspended six-month jail term, and 1 year probation??

What a joke! What a travesty of justice! The 3 people from West Feliciana were "in the wrong place"? How's that? They were attacked at their home!

An "Executive Decision" was made, huh? In Louisiana politics, the more things change, the more they stay the same...

We can only hope that the civil case brings justice.

I wonder if the fact that his father is sheriff had anything to do with this.

No one got the whole story, the deputies wife started the whole thing, then got her but whipped then cried about it. They got what she was asking for.

Did she physically assault any of the people who were later arrested? If so, did they call the police and file a report?

She threw a drink in someones face and started a fistfight at the Oyster Bar in St. Francisville. The cops were called then and made them leave. Upon leaving the "wife" kept on and on antagonizing the others and they were followed. She got what she asked for then cried wolf. But the "wife" started the whole incident.

So those cops wanted justice?? I think it's funny those boys from east feliciana get just the same slap on the wrist that west feliciana gives their criminals. What goes around comes around.

Maybe its just ME but...no one deserves to be followed home and beaten...NO ONE! I was not present at the Oyster bar when the altercation happened. I don't know who threw a drink on who. The only thing I have to go on is that a car load of people followed three people to a PRIVATE HOME, proceeded to beat them and then RAN like little children. The justice scales did not work the day this went to court.

The Sheriffs son and his "posse" are a bunch of arrogant, spoiled kids(not young adults) He needs to have his tattoos peeled off, spanked and sent home to his moma.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
