I agree with old enough to know better. There are too many teenage kids getting killed. My 17 year old step daughter has her license and no matter what happens, it is never her fault. The music is always turned up way too high and the texting while driving is unbelievable. They honestly have that syndrome "it cant happen to me." We as adults know what can happen, but you cant tell them anything that they already dont know. We seem to forget that at 18 you are considered an adult and old enough to be on your own, they are still considered kids until then. Its bad enough my 17 year old is behind the wheel of a two ton killing machine, I cannot imagine my 14 year old step daughter behind the wheel. Anyone considering the notion of letting thier young teenager drive, is mind boggling. They have thier permit for alittle while and when they do get thier license they think they have enough experience to be responsible. Thats laughable. Granted some are very mature, very responsible for thier age, but to be in control of a motor vehicle. No way. They should not be able to drive until they are adults, 18 or better.

I agree that it should be lowered to see if
it will work and if it doesn't well then leave
it at 18.

thers no problem with the age being lowered, but the driving test at that age should be harder, just to see if you really are road-worthy.
