I knew this was coming. Just took longer than it should have. The Grand Jury was the way to go to get this evil person off the street and let everyone go on with their live.

Wow....Has anyone read the article in The Express? It reads like Anne's well rehearsed account of the bizarre happenings of the last two years. Hopefully readers will note that this is her story, how much is truth or lies remains to be seen but her arrest for her son's death certainly suggests that she's not only lying but she may be a calculating sociopath. What a scary lady. We will probably never be able to understand what goes on in her head but hopefully justice will allow Sam to rest in peace.

I'm at least open minded enough to wait for the real evidence to come out in the trial. She will have her day in court. If they're hanging the entire case on a mental patient's testimony and a journal, I'd say the case against Anne is very weak. When all this is over, there may be a few other people who need lawyers.

Well that may be true, but most would have a very hard time shooting themselves in the BACK of the head. DAH

I've known Anne for many years, and this is something I would never have wanted to hear, but did she do it, most likely. We walk among many strange people, and Anne is at the top of the list. Why did she do it, we may never know, because if she did it, she is a crazy, and needs to be put away for the rest of her life. All I know is when I knew Anne and Sammy, she was a very loving mother, but it could have been all show, maybe this was her plan all along. Wow, I so wanted to believe that she couldn't have killed her own child, it breaks my heart when a mother can do that. May God be with them all, including her.

Any lawyers out there want to explain to the public how a Grand Jury works? Because from what I've heard, that is not what just took place.

How does an article in the Record Eagle get printed about an arrest BEFORE someone is arrested and charged?

Charlie Koop is an idiot. He is basing his case on a 'weird angle' shot and Anne writing an obituary.
The problem is if he had a REAL case...he would of had her in custody and charged over a year ago.
Chuckychuck might be happy today but watch him backpeddle and play the blame game that he only prosecuted on the findings of David Smart when his case implodes in his face.

Oh by the way...if they have this trial in Antrim County you know the fix is on because who on this county hasnt heard of this case????

You know that the Defense attorney is gonna try to have the trial moved and if UPCHUCK protests this move its only because he doesnt give a ratsass about justice and he should welcome a move out of the county to show he is fair and impartial.
Let me finish where i started...

NOT TRUE!

If you hold a gun like a western cowboy..yes its very hard to do that because your elbow cant come up but if you hold it sideways like a gangsta' then your elbow comes up and you can EASILY reach the back of your head. Which explains why its in the back of his head and downwards. Go ahead try it and then rethink your theory.

This is why i think David smart is an idiot..i am sure he has no clue how a GANGSTA' holds a gun.

Now if Sam wants to kill himself you think he is gonna do it cowboy style or gangsta' style.
If he doesnt want to see the gun go off he would hold it gangsta' style.

Yeah, but would Sam then be able to wipe his fingerprints off the gun after shooting himself?

Would you care to explain why her prints weren't on it either when it was found in her room, on her bed with rounds in her night stand? The "Planning" "sociopath" would have ridded herself completely or at least put it in his hand...do you not watch criminal shows at all?
Seriously this is a witch hunt at its greatest. I knew Anne years ago and believe whole heartedly that she is innocent until they provide me proof otherwise. So far I see corruption and misuse of the legal system attempting to rid a small town of a woman that isn't liked very well. Speculation, heresy and many other things just doesn't feel right about this case.
The one man grand jury is simply ridiculous in my opinion. The quotes from Sam, the journal, the mental health patient...does anyone not understand depression and suicide? Come on folks, seriously?
I am not going to ever understand it, if she did do it and they PROVE it beyond a reasonable doubt then so be it, I will accept it, however if she is proven innocent how many will accept that and move beyond it?

I am neutral on this and will adjust to whatever the conviction is if there is VALID evidence proven beyond a reasonable doubt, BUT all the people who have been mentioned in various articles and news stories are not what I would call trustworthy witnesses. Would you honestly convict someone based on the testimony of a mental patient, someone who was later convicted of a B&E, or others who had a personal vendetta? Would you convict someone based on a comment they made in a drunken psychotic state? This trial needs to go out of this county. Otherwise, she will not get a fair trial. She has already been hung in the court of public opinion and she will not get a fair trial in Antrim County.

I completely agree with you Neutral. They do need to move this out of the area for trial otherwise it will not and could not possibly be objective held here.

Reading the interviews, etc does lend to the idea and belief of those around ER and even the adjoining areas. Its sad that people can't think outside of the box, think logically and remember "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law" ... makes me just sad at the way others are so willing to hang her with no real proof given yet...*sigh*

For me the verdict is still out, I hold that she is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and thats how it should be.

This trial has taken way to long to surface and whether or not she committed the crime, which lets face it, I think anyone close to this case thinks she did. Not only could Sam not have held the gun the way it was fired, he also could not have placed it on a desk and wiped it clean after the fact, this was not a suicide. Either Anne did it or she knows what actually happened, either way she needs to take responsibility and quit being the absolute coward we have all grown love and hate about her. I don't care if all Koop has is a gunshot angle, if that is enough to put her away for life then I hope to God that is outcome of this case. We are forgetting the true victim in this crime, it isn't the killer, it was Sam!

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Gemini

If you're currently keeping something secret it will really start to prey on your mind today and you'll worry about blurting it out at the wrong moment. It's one of those days in which you're absent-minded and completely wrapped up in your own thoughts. As a result, it will be hard to concentrate on anything else and this won't go down well in certain quarters.
