Solo 99 Cents parking lot in Central Islip

I have lived in C.I. for 10 years- Today I was shopping at the Solo 99 Cents shopping center around 3:30pm and noticed as many as 12 seedy characters hanging out on a bench in front of CVS. Drug dealing was going on in broad daylight! People were coming out of cars..no teeth..no bra and joined they crew on this bench. I know bootleg CD sales were going on there..now I guess anything goes? My question is was a bench placed there? It is not a park or a bus stop- another question is where are the police- the transit police station is right across the street!!! The police do not see what is going on here??? I know C.I. has it's issues- but all in all had been a nice place to live and raise a family- I enjoy going to this shoping center and fear that it will soon be a "no-go" because of safety. Anyone else see this?

i left east islip over ten years ago and CI was no bargain then. Drug deals in Carlton park was going on since i could remember.
