Korean War widow to bury her MIA husband at long last
This text is replaced by the Flash movie. Sgt. 1st Class John H. Holman was 23 and just four months married when he was shipped off to fight communism in the Korean War.

I was a member of the armed forces on June 25th, 1950 when the Korean War broke out, having two months to go on a three-year enlistment. A couple of weeks later president Truman gave me another year, a "Truman" year. But I stayed in the states. If I hadn't enlisted when I did I most certainly would have been sent to Korea and wound up cannon fodder like Sergeant Holman. I'm happy for his widow for the closure she has finally received.

The story of the remains of this hero finally being returned to the soils of his hometown reminded me of a Vietnam era song sung by Sgt. Barry Sadler for a fallen friend.
