I agree with the previous poster. Wonderful website, so much historical information. I'm glad the building is being preserved.

Yes it was quite a historical place to say the least. My books about it will be coming out this year

I'm sure the good councilman was lobbied by someone with the initials FW to help have this landmark status granted and now the town/state can't take it under eminent domain. This happens all the time to the dumpiest of buidlings, and this liquor store is no exception!

Bravo to the town officials who are designating Mr. Wesemann's store as a historic landmark!! It doesn't matter that his store sells liquor, the building itself is historic! I think that more of our elected-officials should preserve historic and old buildings in New York rather than selling them to greedy developers who then turn these landmark buildings into Condos, Co-ops or Fast food restaurants.

First of all Crookhaven is the gateway to the Hamtoons.

You have to be all liquored up to pay the prices out there.

Throw up a couple of times, pass out and sleep on the beach, wake up and drive back home.

Good times, Good times.

Thier is nothing worthy of saving in Mastic, lol. I never understood the historic society in the area labeling all these buildings and wanting to preserve the garbadge.

The time has come to start tearing down all the junk in Mastic and rebuild them in the image of some of the nice buildings from some real historic towns on Long Island.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Cancer

If you want to avoid having a row with someone, get out and about as much as possible today so you can work off all your nervous energy. If you stay in one place for too long you'll be in danger of becoming moody, and possibly even a right old crosspatch. You might also lose your temper with loved ones who are being bolshie or who have the audacity to disagree with you about something. Lighten up, Cancer!
