Suicide (and calling someone before a person commits suicide) is the most IMMATURE and SELFISH act that a person can do. I feel for the poor ex-girlfriend who has to feel horrible the rest of her life because of a SELFISH idiot's actions.

Why destroy an airplane. He could have sold the plane and hired a shrink.

This sickens me!! Yes, suicide is wrong, but You have no idea what kind of person he was, and have no idea what he felt in his last moments, you speak of being IMMATURE and SELFISH, but your the one jusging a person who you don't even know!! You are the SELFISH one, you don't know him, do not ever make judgements on a person you don't know, you seem to be the IMMATURE one. You have no idea what his life was like, and should let him rest in peace.

You all speak of this as being selfish and immature...he was a good friend of mine and what happened here is not a place for anyone to judge. He had the biggest heart ever and was the most fun person to be around. Please have some consideration and respect and keep your rude comments to yourselves.

This messages goes to the ex-girlfriend of Daren A. Ramphal. You should not feel guilty at all for what Daren did. It was his decision. Nobody is forced into or attached to a relationship like this. Unfortunately, Daren should have received help long before this happened. This is a sign of more profound problems, not necessarily related to this event, but with many other issues in his life.

It is also important that Daren's relatives and friends understand this and work with their own grief, without making his ex-girlfriend guilty. It doesn't matter if she was good or bad to him. It was his decision. We need to share responsibilities (not guilt), sure that everyone who knew him (I didn't) could have known he needed help.

To his ex-girlfriend, relatives and friends, God Bless you all and rest assure He will heal your pain if you believe.

that's what I would've done with a plane from 1965, but I'm not as crazy as that man was

Daren wes a good friend and good person. I was a good friend of his and everybody has some problems, we all just wish that we could have been there to stop this. He will be missed dearly by his family and all his close friends. R.I.P. Buddy!

It must be a very painful experience for you and his family and friends, and I do sympathize with you.
I also sympathize with the great grief he was in.
However, please understand that from the perspective of an outsider, this was indeed a foolish act - even you must admit that.
Daren must have been in great emotional turmoil himself, but now imagine the turmoil he has put everyone through.
Suicide is never ever a clear cut issue. It is a horribly tragic, and preventable one. If only he had taken a moment to consider the pain he would cause not to himself, but to others who loved him dearly.
He will be missed, and he will be remembered in loving ways I am sure, but everyone will also remember this.
So please do - while your points are quite true - understand where the others are coming from.
Search for an answer, and find joy in his joy when he was alive.

If you didn't know Daren--then don't talk about him or the situation. I pity all of you that come on here and voice your opinion-like it actually makes a difference. Have some respect for those of us who acutally knew and loved him.

I am afraid this is an open forum, and the minute Daren committed this unfortunate action and brought attention to himself and his suicide in the general media, it became open to discussion.
Instead of defending by telling others to be quiet, why not inform us of Daren and the why's of this situation? That may help much more than telling others to stop speaking.

Daren and his girlfriend were great friends and roommates, All those who were unable to know Daren missed a genuine and giving person. He made all those around him feel welcomed. I will miss ya deeply buddy! God bless you and T.
Homegirl, keep your head up, you were a great girl to him and you did nothing to deserve this grief. He loved you, I don't think he would have ever wanted you to feel guilt. We will never know what went through his head in his final moments.
I hope his family will rest assured he loved thim all, he surely was a great person to have known.

I didn't know Daren, but I am a friend of his cousins and I met his father once last year while he was visiting his aunt. I feel very sad for Daren, his family, his girlfriend and other friends who I do not know. It is always a tragic situation when a young person dies for any reason, and especially someone who had so much going for him: Looks, career, family, friends, etc. I don't think we know for sure whether he actually took his own life or felt as if he should do it but then changed his mind and tried to land the plane. For whatever reason, including the severe weather, the plane crashed. I feel that it is hard enough for his family/friends to accept his death, or even begin to understand what happened; that there should be no need for all the negative comments made. It does not mean you shouldn't voice an opinion, just don't be so hasty in your conclusion or judgement..be tactful and considerate, and more objective in what you write as you really do not know all the details of this tragic accident. None of us know for sure at this time. I would like to give my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, especially to his girlfriend and please let Daren rest in peace. Thank you.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aries

Someone wants to go their own way today and they won't care whose feathers they ruffle in the process. It's a lunar eclipse at the Full Moon in Cancer, so let them get on with it. The last thing you should do now is to hang on to their coat-tails or do anything else that will make them feel restricted. Make it plain that you've got your own fish to fry, thank you very much. And try not to let it stop you enjoying yourself. Have a great night!
