MPD cracking down on parking violations

“McKinney Police Captain Randy Roland said citizens have been filing a number of complaints about cars creating road hazards and narrow streets because of parking violations.”

“[In] some of our neighborhoods, if you don’t follow the parking laws, they make for very narrow passages as two cars meet,” Roland said.“The roadway is not designed to allow that much extra unused street.”

One wonders exactly how many complaints Capt. Roland has actually received. Sound more like yet another revenue generation operation for the MPD.

But then again, Randy’s always good for another malapropism:“The roadway is not designed to allow that much extra unused street.” Well if it’s unused, Randy, what’s the problem?

I complain on a regular basis about the schmucks parking illegally on my street. So he's at least hearing from me.
