How long have you been a member of the church?

And how did you become a member of the church of Christ?

Did you say a "Sinners prayer" to wash your sins away?

Isn't it the blood of Jesus that washes our sins away?(Rev.1:5)(Eph.1:7)

If the above is a fact (and it is),how can you say that water washes our sins away?

You're right- it is the blood of Jesus which now saves us- the water is not what washes our sins away, but the act of being baptized because of our faith; being baptized is a condition of being a Christian- hear the word, believe, repent, confess and be baptized- and then , of course, you have to live a life that is in accordance to His will- once saved always saved is a myth

I've shared the word with people but they are responsible for taking heed and acting on it. I can only present it to them.

Hi, Karen I hope your doing well.

You are correct,we plant the seed and it may come up years later (Luke 8:5-15). You just never know.

From what I can tell your teaching truth (John 17:17), But as you know the word of God says to test (or try) the spirits to see if they are teaching truth or not (1John 4:1-6).

I hope you take those Cds and pass them on. If a church buys at least 20 they can buy them for $1.00 each. Is that a deal or what!!! Or just pass the website around, that is even cheaper.

They also have another CD that is for the family. I really suggest you get one of them also. It is good. It is all about the things we should have been doing all along to keep our kids from straying from the church. It is called "Faith For Life" by Brad Harrub. At least I think you can get it where the other CD is posted.

Billy Graham vs The Word Of God

http://www.gospelpreceptor.com/EdFile03.htm

Hello, I posted the article above to show the difference between truth and error.

I respect Billy Graham as a good moral man,but his doctrine is full of error. That error must be addressed by someone. This shows even a good man can be in error and oppose the word of God.

1. Believe + Baptism = Saved (Mark 16:16)

2. Believe = Saved + Be Baptized Later On (Mark 16:16).

Reading the verse above (Mark 16:16),which would you say the verse actually teaches?

# 1 or # 2

It seems that many educated people pick the wrong answer when it comes to what the word of God actually says. Is it because of emotional ties to a particular faith or person?

The verse is as clear as any I have ever read in the New Testament. Yet many refuse to teach it as it is in the word of God.

Which would you pick?#1 or #2

This is a good CD - several good bible lessons

Why would I want to go to heaven? And what awaits those who go there?

There are many reasons why one would want to go to heaven. Being a Christian helps one to navigate this life on earth in the very best possible way (John 10:10).

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.(John 10:10)

Living the Christian life means we will be learning the gospel and teaching others that they may also go to heaven (2Tim.2:2).

2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

There is great satisfaction knowing you have taught the gospel to another person and they have accepted the gospel call (2Thess.2:14). Knowing we have snatched a person from Satans grasp is also good to know (1Peter 5:8)(Jude 22,23).

There will be no tears, pain or worries in heaven. On the other hand Hell is a place no one will want to go if they really knew what awaits them (Luke 16:19-31).

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Here are a couple of lessons that may put it in words much better than I ever could. Do not accept their word but check in the bible and make sure what the lessons say can be found in the word of God.

Baptism is a sacrament and should ALWAYS be followed by times of individual commitment, personal decision, and conversion. If persons who are baptized do not experience conversion, then their baptism is rendered ineffective. Baptism is an ordinary means of salvation, neither sufficient in itself for salvation, nor necessary. But we are instructed by Christ to administer it, and people have experienced baptism as a powerful and effective means of salvation.
Baptism is the gift of the church to the person being baptized.

Baptism has multiple meanings: a program for conversion, the gifts of the spirit, washing away sin, entering a new life of freedom, nurture, growth, healing, becoming part of a holy community, anointing, death of the old self, preparation for a new relationship with God, receiving the Holy Spirit. In short, it means everything that water means, and it means everything that circumcision means in the Old Testament, and it means everything that covenant means in the Old Testament.

Sagittarius

Happy New Year, Saggitarius! Despite the headache, your motivation level is high today, setting a trend for the rest of the year. You'll be surrounded by relatives and friends all year and will work passionately to help them, as you do. Things go smoothly today, and you're absorbed with the duties of new year. Be careful that you don't neglect your own health, though. You can't help others if you're run down.
