Information on Greenville Attorney

My brother just got served with divorce papers. His wife's attorney is H. Craig Black of Greenville, TX. Does anyone know anything about him that might help us? Any recommendations on local attorneys. My brother lives with us in another state and we have to find a lawyer for him soon. Thanks for your help.

Tell him to get Holly Gotcher for an attorney in Greenville.

We called her and she was not taking any new cases right now. Anyone else ?

Do not get Russell Brooks--he acted as if he was
in a coma during my son's entire divorce case.
Very slow. Wouldn't take advantage of the "wife's"
failure to show up two times in court. Wouldn't
use her 50 doctor visits and 92 Rx's against her.
He didn't think it would matter much. The only thing this attorney cared about was getting paid
on time. You should PLEAD with Holly Gotcher to take your case. She works hard for her $$$, and
usually gets results. She is the VERY BEST.

We also had a bad experience with Russell Brooks. He had a bad attitude and was lazy. My ex-spouse used a lawyer from Dallas.

Craig Black is a tough lawyer. My boyfriend used him in his divorce and he did not have to pay child support for a year while waiting to settle their divorce. His ex wife used Smith Gilley and he sided with Black on all items he requested. She had to pay all the bills until divorce was final. Do not use Gilley for divorce.

Russell Brooks is a bad ass. My friend got really drunk and beat up cops and Russell got him off clean.

Craig Black is a tough lawyer, Holly cost more than she is actually worth. May try Katie Ferguson, she hammered a guy I know pretty good in a divorce case.

Yeah he is a Homosexual man hater who my wife used also he is a real piece of work. He's very lucky I have gotten my life right with God because if i was still Lost he would get a beating

That wait time is not at all unusual for Hunt County. Don't expect things to follow standard operating procedures here.

The judge may well let the parties wait, wait, wait until they agree to go to mediation with another attorney (cost of about $1600 a day, split between parties).

But....paying $1600 does NOT assure you that you will have a mediating attorney that operates with integrity or is knowledgeable of basic tenets of Texas Family Law.

With a mediation agreement, the judge doesn't have to make any decisions and all he has to do is sign his name on the divorce decree.
