what is the name and/or web site for the local paper in Alturas CA? I'm in WA state and I want to read about a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on 6/17/06 there. thanks.

The Alturas local newspaper is The Modoc Record and you can find it online. It comes out on Thursdays. We also have The Independent News (out of Surprise Valley) once a month.

The Modoc County Record is the local newspaper for Altuas. You can see it online: www.modocrecord.com
It comes out every Thursday and posted on the Internet after 12 noon.
