im from douglas...aiw...since southwire bought it out i was just wondering how are they to work for they do not take over till march...are they pretty easy going? or are they a bunch of ass's like the ones at aiw?

My son's friend,who is 20 works there and he seems to like it. He works P/T. I've heard they recruit a lot of kids from the High School to work there.

i am an employee of aiw coffeyville facility. i have worked under most of the management that are now in douglas, we are trained a certain way to do a certain job and i am the ace at bunch, if you cant take the heat stay ont of the pit :) per the general...

I have been at SW for 2 years and it is a great place to work. Everyone around me has worked here for 10, 20, 30 and my boss has been here 42 years. They take care of their employees but do expect a honest days work out of you. I hope I retire here.

I worked there for 23 years and hated everyday of it. worked 9 years on nights the rest on days. they treat you like crap. do what they say or else, find another job. they dont care. private owned. make rules as they go. take your ideas and use them and you will never get a ounce of recognition. After being threatened and just totally fed up. I left on my own,,To hell with southwire!!!

It only takes 1 hour to replace you at any timed.If you fall dead and have to be hauled out, it takes ONE hour to replace you, thats how important you are at ANY company if you just show up to get a paycheck. not any company u think that way bc u haven't had a real job..become in a union an part of a team..you might not be always happy but that's life.
