Polk County Commissioners

Who will be the next commissioners of Polk County?

(1) Cleve Hartley 4 years in office
Billy Croker 16 years in office

(2) Ricky Clark 4 years in office
Ray Barber 8 years in office
Scott Mcray 0 years in office
Howard Smith 0 years in office

(3) Larry Reynolds 4 years in office
Stefanie Burford 0 years in office

all our current county commissioners need to go. they don't listen to the people and do whatever the frak they wanna do. they dont' want what's best for the people. I'm voting Hartley, Clark, and Reynolds OUT

Personally, I'm definitely voting for Scott McCray. I know him and his family well, he is an honest hard working man that knows what this county needs. He may not look like he is smart on politics or any of that stuff but looks can be deceiving. I think he is just what we new for this county, we need someone new in office who has an open mind and can genuinely relate to the people of this county. He is a wonderful man and has my vote all the way!!

Before you vote someone out of office.you should have someone better to take his/her place. So please think about who you vote for on election day.Mr. Croker has served as a comm. for 16 years, and what has he done for Polk County? I believe that Mr. Barber was a comm. when the land fill was leased to a private company which will cost the tax payers of our county million of dollars before the deal is over. Also Mr. Barber help purchased 515 acres of land for 1.5 million dollars of tax payers money and what is this property being use for at this time?We have lost hundreds of thousand of dollars on taxes on this property and where is this property located?
I agree that Mr. Mcray is a good person but does he know anything about our government? Therefore, I must vote for Howard Smith for comm. in the 2th district. He is very smart and knows our government. He is not one of the good old boys. He has a vision on how to reduce crime in our county and how to bring bussiness in Polk County.I had a long talk with Mr. Smith the other day and he is the only one that has shown me that he know what need to be done in Polk County and is ready to do it. He told me that the Commissioners job is to serve the people and not for the people to serve the government.Before you vote.may I suggest that you talk with Mr. Smith and hear what he has to say about the future of Polk County.

Like I said before, McCray may not look like he knows about politics but he does. Maybe you should ask him yourself. He's open to hearing and talking to the public. Honesty is what we need for our county, and McCray is an honest man so that's why I say McCray is the man for the job. We need a new and fresh county government!

what i KNOW is this....hartley, reynolds and clark made the most boneheaded decision about tourism for this county that has ever been made SINCE THE FOUNDING OF THIS County.....no matter who takes their place, it will be an imporvement.

smith is the right choice. i heard him speak and spoke with him afterwards......he would be the best of everyone running out of EVERY district.

You haven't lived here long have you? Barber and Croker should NEVER be voted back in. Ask around Fish Creek about the mobile home!

smith, not barber. and if croker is the only one running against hartley, then croker. i hear tell croker had a good run as commissioner........got a lot of grants and money for the region while in office and still has a lot of contacts. you may not agree with him on a point or 2 but experience counts in my book........and NO MATTER who is voted in they should be held accountable. no matter crokers past, it cannot be as bad as the decision hartley, clark and reynolds made........no where near as bad.

a bigger budget means they got more money for the region.........a bigger budget means MORE infrastructure improvemens and more or better services for the citiziens..........give me the bigger budget anytime......
