Look Out America......Obamacare is gonna cost you jobs, higher prices for products and services, and poorer service and delivery of healthcare.

As reported by the Huffington Post (which shocks me since they love Obama):

Papa John's workers will have their hours reduced due to Obamacare, Huffington Post reports Nov. 9. The pizza chain's CEO, John Schnatter, said now that President Obama has been re-elected he plans to pass the expense of the nation's new health care plan down to his workers -- which means less hours.

This is the second time Papa John's pizza is making news over Obamacare. The CEO announced customers would be paying between 11 and 14 cents more per pizza after Obamacare was passed this summer. Schnatter doesn't think people realize they're going to pay big for the Affordable Care Act put in place.

"That's what you do, is you pass on costs," he said. "Unfortunately, I don't think people know what they're going to pay for this."

Obamacare mandates that employees working over 30 hours per week are covered by their employers. A number of restaurants have admitted they might be forced to cut their employees hours because they cannot afford Obamacare for them.

Papa John's pizza will reduce employee work hours.
Photo credit: Getty Images ..John Schnatter might be getting a lot of criticism for the prices raised on Papa John's pizza and reducing his workers' hours, but people can expect to see more of this in order to support Obamacare.

pardon me, just a dumb country boy with a funny bone... was poking fun at the topic heading of "pizza hut" and the article was about "papa johns", and either way pizza is fairly affordable and they always have special deals... also .14$ added per pizza? never felt it, did you?

Just an excuse to raise prices, reduce benefits and cut employees. Most small businesses will receive tax offsets to more than cover any increase in insurance costs.

I recently had a bad fall. ER said I had a broken collar bone. They also bandaged my elbow and knee and checked for a concussion. They made an appointment with a bone specialist for three days later. He said my collar bone was not broken, just a bone bruise. Total cost of my fall - almost $12,000.00. I have a friend whose company layed him off in 2006, several months after he had a couple of bypasses. The only insurancr he can find will cost about $1150.00 per month withvan $7500.00 deductable.
All other industrial nations have universal health care and we are currently ranked 37th in the world in health care.

many 'european' countries have 'universal' healthcare, as does canada....go ask a canadian what THYEY think about their healthcare.

while you were seen in an er visit, chances are under universal healthcare you WOULD NOT have been seen, or at least right away.

and the doctor they sent you to "THREE DAYS LATER"?........under universal healthcare you woulda been lucky to see that doctor in 3 months!

wake up folks......"free" healthcare IS NOT FREE!

you don;t get it........you are being selfish.....of course 0.14 per pizza is not a deal breaker FOR THE CONSUMER.........tell that to the employees that have to let go, thouh. you obviously do not own your own business.

and yeah, you're right...i blew it on the pizza-hut versus the papa john's moniker (LOL)....oddly enough, i posted this on the cedartown topix, rockmart topix, and cedartown chatboard and you're the only one to catch...including me! LOL. good catch! i'm not always right, but when i say it, i believe it. oh well. we are all falliable.

Tax offsets for small business are a reality , read the law . Check the last issue of Business Week.
Small business owners who are now providing health insurance will pay less. Don't believe everything Rush Limbaugh and rich digrunted Republicans say. Research the facts.

i don't listen to limbaugh.

i'm listening to papa john's and other business owners. it ain't rocket science.

let me ask you this..........if 23 million people (or whatever the number is) are without insurance in america, and they are without it becuase they can't afford it, but the government is going to PROVIDE it for them, who (or what) is going to pay for it?

as for tax 'offsets'...are speaking of deductions? if so, so what? deductions this year will likely be the same as last year.....YET, there will be higher taxes. go figure!

higher taxes mean higher taxes....there are no 'offsets' to

mistico is loco.

#1. You pay for them anyway. If "Obamacare" was repealed, they go back to being free riders, who show up at the emergency room, run up a bill, and never pay. And it gets passed on to higher insurance costs.

#2. Papa John's is lousy pizza, so who cares? Let them take it out on their customers, and go under. Someone better will pop up in their place. Good riddance.

The majority of Canadians love their health care system. They recently voted the person who started the system, Lestet Pearson, as the person who had done the most for Canadian society

Papa Johns, or Pizza Hut or any other business, are not being "forced" to do anything. They are simply having a typical republiKKKan tantrum, showing what unprofessional, unethical sore losers they really are. Taking out their dislike of having a black man as President on their poor hourly employees is beyond disgusting. John Schnatter is a douche bag. In other words, a typical republiKKKan.

...that was my fault......i typed pizza hut in the 'subject' rather than papa john's..........but the gist of the article is the same.........pizza hut, papa john's, etc........their business model is EXACTLY the same, so what happens IN THAT INDUSTRY to one will happen to the other....which IS THE SAME FOR ALL BUSINESSES in America, large OR small..........taxes ae gonna go up for them, and you and i will pay higher prices (cars, houses, food, heat/cool, gasoline, etc....you name it.).

the reason taxes are gonna go up?

to pay for obamacare........strightforwar d, simple, and easy to understand.

there is NO SUCH THING as a free meal.......SOMEONE PAYS..........for obamacare, ALL OF AMERICA DOES.
