I have 2 teenage daughters; I talk to them on a regular basis about predators and all the sick people out there. Sometimes I wish we did not have computers, but unfortunately the predators would find another way. It sickens me that in this society, you can't even feel positive about your children being in sports when you have sick individuals involved them.

Pedophilia refers to a sexual attraction to prepubescent kids. It has nothing to do with simply being "underage."

It would be nice if the lynch mob got their facts straight before they started murdering people, but when does that ever happen?

See, now you took a reasonable argument and turned it into a inflammatory post. This is also not what we need. We need civil discourse.(At least at first).

People did marry much younger. I am old enough to remember when people wondered what was wrong with a 19 year old girl without a husband. Girls as young as 13 fooled around just as much as now. They fooled around with older guys too.

The Internet has really allowed people to reach out to other people in ways we never could have imagined. Good & bad. One thing to keep in mind though, these guys are travelling long distances and ignoring what most of us would consider to be huge risks. My guess is that they have successfully met other teenage girls who were willing participants. With the broad reach of the Internet, probably many. Without the Internet, these people would probably had little opportunity for this activity.

What is considered acceptable in society has changed. Some good, some bad. You had valid points. The good old days were not always as good as we remember them.

I'm glad my daughters were grown up before the internet.

As a parent of 3 daughters, i can only hope that I have informed them enough about predators. That being said, if it WAS one of my kids... it would be hang'em high!!

Why did religion have to come into this post? I am a Catholic and very proud of it. Religion is a very sensitive subject that should have been left out of this post. Did they give the religion of these sick men? They could be any one of the above that you mentioned. People need to get over the long long ago events and focus on the present. These men should be punished to the fullest and have their faces plastered all over...wonder if they will try this again? Probably!!!

What the h#ll does this have to do with sick adults targeting young people? It's people like you that make some of these people think its ok to rape or con a young person into thinking what they are doing is ok...but don't tell anyone. You're also probably the type of person that would be defending this same person in a court of law and even if there is evidence get this person off on a technicality. Damn straight its a lynch mob, and I'll be one of the 1st people in line if I could. I don't care if it was my kid or someone elses, anyone who takes advantage of a person in the way they attended is wrong. I'm glad there are set ups like this to maybe save a few young kids from being victims.

to tell the truth, I have known lots of 13,14 15 year olds who were having sex wit adults. it seems like thats the norm in this day and age.

Even when I was in middle/high school I remember how the girls se to brag about how they slept with p;der men and love it, heck even some of the girls had their MEN in nice cars pick them up at school so hey can show off to their friend.

Even in some states the age of consent is 14..
